a very good site for stop over night and longer. bus stop just outside the site with regular buses to the interesting Chalons 10 mins away. very helpful staff. as previously reviewed the toilet block is old but was incredibly clean and has all the facilities you need. wifi is expensive but the tennis made up for the cost. yes the site is in a housing estate but its worth ignoring that for its convenient location and oasis of greenery provided.
Facilities dated but are kept clean, busy site but nice, large pitches , staff friendly and helpful, would return
We stayed here for two nights whilst travelling down through France and I thought it was very nice. The reception person was friendly, helpful and spoke good English, there were two facility blocks which were older but very clean and tidy, plus it was a short walk into Dole. We ordered bread each morning from reception and there is a washing machine and dryer on site which was useful. The pitches were a mix and hard standing and grass. They were small for UK standards but there was plenty of room for our caravan and vehicle. The campsite is not very big so if you are going in high season you will probably need to book. We enjoyed our stay and would happily return.
E mailed first to reserve a disabled pitch they requested a deposit which we sent 10 days before which only arrived when we did, given key to disabled facilities which were very good . EXCELLENT WELCOMING STAFF. Clean toilet facilities with hot water showers but a little dated. A little behind on ground works probably due to weather. Large supermarket nearby. Short stop this time but could stay happily for a longer period to explore the area.
Lovely municipal campsite, roomy pitches. Showers clean with plenty of hot water (push button!). Lovely welcoming, helpful English speaking staff. Staff obviously working hard to maintain the site. WiFi worked well (we don't mind paying if it works well!). Great as stop over to/from Calais. Stayed one night as on our way home. Added bonus of seeing goslings who reside on the lake at this site! We will return!
Great stopover when coming from Calais with restaurant nearby first stop on our way to south. Plenty of room for longer motor homes.
We spent a night here on our way home from a June-long CCC tour round the Balkans. It\'s a convenient, well-situated site, popular without being over-busy, and we enjoyed our \'moules-frites\' at the onsite eatery. The toilet block was just about OK but very dated ~ probably the least efficient or enjoyable to use on our whole 6-wk trip (including around the Balkans) ~ and has probably served well since the pioneering days of this calibre of campsite, but now in fairly serious need of updating. Apart from that, though ... fine, thanks!
Stayed for one night in March which is a time when no site looks its best as there has been no landscaping growth. There has been criticism of toilet facilities - but looks like it has had all new cubicles fittings etc throughout. The building itself is a typical 60s build and remains unattractive! An excellent overnight stop, good pitches with hard standing, electric, water and drain. Surrounding houses are not an issue at all in my opinion and good dog walk around small lake. Would happily use again at this time of year!
A little tired! Pitch size good. Toilets, showers ok. Too far from town to walk. Spent a peaceful evening here but that was long enough.
Convenient site for travelling south. Some improvement to the washroom facilities would lift this site, however the pitches are level and a decent size. We have stopped here a number of times and we will continue to do so.
