Have stayed here many times and love the site. We elected to eat in the campsite restaurant this year and were told we did not need to book. However, when we rolled up at 8pm, they were fairly busy and did not provide a warm welcome. We were provided with a table but it felt like it was under sufferance rather than as welcome guests. In the event, the food was very good! Disappointed that the restaurant and bar were both closed on the Wednesday evening and there were no other local facilities to wine and dine that evening.
Spent three nights here on the way back up through France. Really lovely site on the lake. Staff incredibly helpful and nice. Toilet facilities were clean but a little dated. Little shop to buy some essentials. Restaurant was good. Lovely spot would definitely visit again!
Comfortable and friendly site where we were happy to stay longer. Nice pitch overlooking lake, very good toilet block (with toilet seats, paper and soap), bar/restaurant/shop on site, bread to order and two pools (inside one heated). Wonderful location but no public transport and a long 5km walk into beautiful walled town of Langres. Canal/cycle path reached by road and a short stretch of stoney path difficult to ride on. Would definitely return.
Pitches on the small side and many (like ours) sloping quite steeply. Sanitaire modern but needed a good thorough clean - not just the 10 minutes ‘lick and a promise’ it received while we were there. Shop was a bit pricey. Late arrivals shouldn’t be coming in after 10pm and disturbing others. Good view from some pitches and handy for a visit to delightful Langres.
There is no access to the local canal towpath or to the Voie Verte that another reviewer mentioned - we asked at reception and looked ourselves - so perhaps this related to another site.
This was a lovely site, in a beautiful area overlooking a large reservoir, the site is tiered and some of the pitches will need levelling blocks. The upper ones on the level are very spacious but for shade the tiered lower ones are better but quite cosy (smaller) with hedges. Toilet blocks are clean but the showers are a little cosy and not that plentiful which is ok in the quieter periods but might be a problem later when the site is busy. There are walks around the reservoir (16k) but a pleasant walk up to the walled town is great (5k about an hour walk) ask at reception for a printed sheet with the route. It is quite steep at the end but worth it and you can walk around the town walls with great views. Overall a great site - we would definitely use again!
A well managed site with some good views over the lake surprisingly busy even during mid September. Level grass pitches with water and electric to each pitch. Efficient reception but WiFi expensive for one hour. Langres about 6K but a nice canal path to Langres within 1.5K. Langres itself well worth a visit.
More noise from close-by N road than we had expected
This was our second visit as we like this site. There are nice views of the lake and many pitches are under trees and in the shade. Most of the pitches have an electric and water supply (disguised as a tree!) We did not use the pool as we have a dog so preferred to swim in the lake together! There is a path around the lake which is good for walking in the shade of the woods. Good location for heading south
An excellent site within walking distance of a lovely lake. Views of the lake from many pitches. The out side pool has a marvellous view over the lake. Nice restaurant but poor service during our stay in June 2015.
We arrived during lunch hour, read sign, use code, find pitch, report to reception later. We had booked and been issued a pitch as requested near to toilet facilities.
Very good sized pitch area, with views on each side to lake, and over cabins on lower level. Good road system even for very large caravans. EXCELLENT reception staff, especially Joanna, ALL OTHER STAFF very friendly. Very clean toilet facilities, hot showers, May need to improve quantity of showers in high season, but we never had to wait. Lots of places to visit from info at reception. Lovely indoor pool, outdoor pool looked inviting too. Excellent patio are with excellent views.
Very friendly staff with well stocked shop. Had a lovely pizza at the bar. Lovely view of the lake from the terraced pitches but they were a bit on the small side and water not hot enough for washing up.
