Travelling party: Seniors

Two nights here in June on the way back to the channel ports. Site is well located, easy walk downtown. An excellent site restaurant but have known better toilets. A large sith open pitches but it is a good location and merits it's 8.0 grading

Stopped here for two nights on way back to Dieppe and for dogs to have their worming treatment. A very pleasant site. Pitches are not hedged off and you choose your own. On site restaurant was excellent, toilet facilities acceptable. Generally speaking an excellent site and we would happily return

Friendly staff, pretty site, well laid out on the banks of a river. 1/2 walk to the Town. Good for shopping and fuel. The swimming Poole was closed at the time so hence 2 stars.

Nice site, located with great views of the Loire, lovely Bar/Restaurant on site. There was only one Unisex Toilet Block Open. Walked to the Town which seemed to lack Atmosphere (or at least the parts we visited did). An annual gathering of 40,000 White Vans and Caravans was expected (Riot vans sort of raised suspicion) in the field next door, so we decided like others, to leave slightly earlier than planned. Nice site but a been there done that sort!

Peaceful site on the Loire. Clean facilites, plenty of hot water. Only about 10min walk across bridge into Gien. Great cycling along the Loire in both directions. Restaurant on site very nice. Staff helpful. Pool remained open onto 1st Oct even though stated closed mid Sept, presumably a nice/ sensible decision because of the late great weather.
Very peaceful and quiet at night and felt secure. Recommend.
NB: 3.5t weight limit through Gien coming from the East so would need to plan approach accordingly in larger vans?

quite a large site. On arrival they let you choose your own pitch. Good WiFi.. Lovely view across the Loire. Great cycle routes everywhere. There is a small epicerie just across the road.

Travelling party: Couple

Very nice campsite overlooking the town of Gien. Good, clean washroom facilities and roomy pitches - we were lucky to get a pitch overlooking the Loire. We ate at the on-site restaurant on two occasions and there is an excellent store just outside the campsite selling bread and good quality vegetables. Direct access to the Velo made our stay at this campsite complete. Oh, and very friendly staff too.
