Nice campsite with very large pitches.
Beautiful town set on river banks with many restaurants.
Quiet and clean campsite.
Overnight on route south. Arrived after sat.nav guided us through the towns narrow streets. We have size references on the satnav, so why this happened we dont know. Site is is in a lovely position in the heart of the town, but it is basic in our opinion. Grass pitches, some closed sanitary facilities, great friendly staff, grey waste facilities need updating for volume of motorhomes now on roads. Again not all sections checked, as not relevant
This is a very quiet site about 5 minutes walk from the centre of the very pleasant town of Vendome. When we were there is May it was almost deserted and we were able to pick a pitch right by the river. With no-one on either side of us, we had a huge space to ourselves. But pitches are divided just by bare grass lines, so I would imagine in the high season with people either side of you it might feel very crowded. Le Loir is very pretty but there were a few midges around in the evening. Vendome is an interesting town and definitely worth a visit. Sanitaires were clean but a bit outdated and no loo paper. There was a bit of traffic noise but it wasn't too intrusive. A good stopover site. Oh, by the way, on the road into the site from the town there is a high sleeping policeman which bottomed our camper.
Quiet site short walk into interesting town with range of shops and cafes. Market on Fridays. Very close to the river and possibly on a flood plain. Facilities basic but adequate. Friendly helpful welcome in reception.
This is a lovely site on the banks of Le Loir river and only a short walk into the picturesque town. The lady at reception was very friendly and helpful. A small grocery shop with a wide variety of items, bread to order, and local cheeses. There is road noise from the RN10, but tolerable where were pitched near the river. A good supply of facilities, with lots of toilets (seats but no paper!), showers and wash basins (including a large disabled shower). Although ageing, all were very clean. Good dog walking area just outside the gates.
Would definitely recommend for a stop over or as a base for a few days visiting the area. Vendome is historically interesting, with an abbey church and chateau/castle. An excellent town guide leaflet is available from reception.
Interesting old town. Quiet campsite, no pool, pitches unmarked, facilities all ok plenty of hot water an ideal overnight stop.
Nice setting beside river and only few minutes walk into town.
Fine for stopover but facilities fairly ordinary.
Further to my previous comments I\'d just like to add that there are also UK type electric points. And also that the reception closed 12:00 - 2:00. Just had another couple of enjoyable days here.
Great campsite for en-route and possibly longer. Very friendly and helpful management. Very easy to find. Easy access for all sized units and spacious pitches marked by lines in the ground. Some pitches are directly on the riverbank. when we were there the river was not fast flowing but I wouldn\'t suggest letting a sprogg loose near it. Toilet facilities are clean and adequate with seats (although mixed). Adequate hot water. French adapter for hook-up required. Will most definitely return.
