Lovely friendly campsite. Fourth time we have stayed here - always a warm welcome
Excellent stopover site where we have stayed several times. Quiet but within ten mi Utes walk of the town. Small pool just for a dip, not to sit around and sunbathe! Good hot showers, and laundry facilities include ironing board and iron. Gate not unlocked until 8am with no exception, so dont plan an early start!
We have stayed at this campsite twice a year for the past three years, but I doubt we will stay here again. We arrived on 25 June, and the owner warned us that there was a severe weather warning in place for two days time, and that we should not plan to travel on that day, as temperatures were expected to exceed 40 degrees. Heeding her warning, we decided that we should make a really early start next morning and travel further than usual so that we wouldn\'t need to drive at all on the hottest day. The campsite gate is not unlocked until 8am, and we asked.if it would be possible to open at 7am to enable us to get on the road. The owners attitude was unbelievable. She said it wasn\'t possible, and complained about the long hours they worked, saying that rules are rules, and can\'t be changed. We asked three times that day, and were told, in no uncertain terms \"no!\" The next day we joined three other couples at 7.55 am waiting for the gate to be unlocked. The owner walked out of his house 10 yards away at 8am precisely and unlocked the gate. All three couples said they would never go there again. What a shame, as we Iike the campsite, but maybe the owners should realise that it was just a small request but a very important one, bearing in mind the circumstances. In the hospitality industry the hours are long, and requests such as this should surely be treated politely.
Campervan visit. Well organised and welcoming campsite with good sized well defined pitches. Good MH service point and plenty of water points around the site (with even more being put in). Swimming pool still open mid September. Short walk to boulangerie. Good walking and cycling in area with helpful information from Tourist Information in town. Highly recommended.
We stayed here 2 nights in our motorhome in late June. Site is run by friendly Dutch couple. We were able to choose our own pitch. This was large, grassy and near pool and house. Outdoor toilet block mainly closed apart from washing up and laundry. Cold water in the sinks here with separate hot water tap. Nice indoor toilet facilities with hot water in showers and handwashing with soap and towel. Limited number of WCs and showers so these were getting rather busy. Nice clean small pool. Easy walk into village with bars, restaurants, bread and supermarkets. Lake is easy to get to on bikes, though this involves hills! Campsite has a bar and snack bar, we enjoyed the weekly \"menu français\"
3 night stay, hot weather.
We loved this site. Had been recommended by friends. Great location, walk to nearby village and good supermarket, a few bars and restaurants. Lovely surrounding countryside as well, unspoilt areas to explore.
Limited menu available in good bar area (did not eat there).
Owners friendly, free range eggs from their hens available (delicious).
Not all pitches were open, and there was work going on to get new toilets and showers up and running for summer season.
This is what I call a ‘rustic’ site, and all the better for it. The owners deserve every success. Will definitely return.
Stayed on many campsites in France over the years. this one rates as one of the best. Nice owners, good pitches, facilities very clean and a nice village close by. Will be returning in the future.
A very well run site, everything very clean and up to standard. The site owners spoke good English and were always very helpful. We will be going back there again and would highly recommend this site.
Stayed here on our way back from Spain.Very friendly and helpful owners.Facilities very good lovely and clean.Short walk to the village has a Super u and a couple of bars.Would recommend this site.Looking to stay next summer for a few days.
Toilets and showers were clean. We were in a motorhome and were asked to use one of hard standing pitches. These comprised of what I can only describe as large black dusty cinders, no grass nearby to sit outside and very unpleasant indeed. Reception rather serious lady who told me not to walk my dog around the site in case he 'pooped or weed' . Instead I was told to take him outside the camp site on a very unpleasant path to a woodland area. No restaurant. Nothing much in village, only one restaurant. We left after one night.
