Positives 1st. 2:00pm Reception which was excellent with very good English. Then, choose our own location, which was also excellent, because we needed to get our Sat Dish to lock on, so 2nd try &

This was without doubt the worse campsite of our trip, the acsi reviews suggested it was a nice site, far from it. How acsi can have this site on the books when you compare it with other nice sites surprises me. We were told to find our own pitch which luckily was level, probably
the only good point.
Seemed to be only one water tap for the site, the wholes site needed care and attention.

We had our things stolen out of the tent, while we were sleeping. Reception staff no help. It is a regular occasion I was told. Do not camp on here until cameras are working and security is put in place.

Travelling party: Couple

Very pleasant looking site in itself - very convenient for Tours - we stayed 4 nights - part of the ‘Onlycamp’ group which we haven’t used before so not sure if this site is typical - but:
- Reception closed for 2 hrs at lunchtime with no ready access
- only 2 loos, 2 wash cubicles & 2 showers
- no hot water only tepid (except showers)
- only superficial cleaning (loo bins not emptied once in 4 days) & generally dirty & untidy
- washing up sinks are laundry sinks (no draining boards)
- only one watertap.
ACSI should reassess this site - it is not worth the price compared with others.

Great little site, ideal for a visit to Tours. Really friendly girl on reception. Toilet facilities clean and warm. Nice pitch with hard stand. Not a place for a two week holiday. Turn left out the gate and across the bridge to get the bus to city center. €6.30 for 48 hours on bus and tram. Lovely friendly Pizza place near the bus stop, excellent pizza and they deliver too. Turn right outside the gate and you can walk or jog along the Loire.

Used as a stop over on the way down to the south of France.
Quiet easy to find, open until 8pm, reasonable size pitches and convenient for looking around Tours.

The overall ACSI rating of this site does not really do it justice. It’s a great stop for visiting Tours, and Tours is well worth a visit. Busses into Tours from near the site run until 11-00 pm so an evening out for dinner is no problem. Cycling into the town is also easy. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and the pitches are a decent size and level. The toilet block might not be the shiniest newest thing you ever saw but I’ve seen a lot worse.

Maybe this is not a site for a 2 week family holiday, but it’s not trying to be that.

Travelling party: Seniors

I sort of get the feeling that this is a site with great potential that isn't quite making it. The receptionist was brilliant and has a sense of humour that translates into English. She worked very hard when we were there, all be it for just one night.
We were there early in the season but got the impression that a lot of capital has been spent, but isn't being managed well. It's as if the site has been sort of abandoned by rich owners who have lost interest.
We had a good one night stop in the long grass and enjoyed watching the rabbits.
