This is a lovely spot right in a small town with restaurants and shops to hand. NB everything is closed on Tuesdays. There are excellent walks along the river and in the woods. BUT the facilities are bad: no toilet paper, no hot water, cold and poorly drained showers. The pitches are rutted and the grass uncut. They are recovering from floods but that doesn\'t excuse cold showers. Best to shut it, do the repairs and then re-open what could be a brilliant site.

We stopped for one night while headed north. The campsite is easy to get in and out of and handy for an overnight stop and set in a nice location. However, it was undergoing major renovations with many jobs not completed and should not have been open. The shower block was not finished, no water flow in bathroom sink, no area for emptying toilet waste, no areas to fill with fresh water, cold water in all but two sinks for washing dishes and overall the site a bit of a mess. We can see that it could and possibly will be nice however I don\'t think they should have been charging or have been open at all. It was a let down after all the amazing ACSI sites we stayed at during this trip through France.

The very pleasant lady in reception explained the campsite had been flooded a few years ago and lots of work needed doing. That is very true. The toilets and showers were clean, but dated. The water was not very hot for washing up. The grass was in need of a cut and the flower planters were full of weeds. This site needs an urgent clean up. It is a shame as it is in a good location within an easy walk to a very interesting town. Shame the site wasn\\\'t as good as the receptionist.

Don\'t stay here. Neglected site that floods. Pitches are overgrown weed patches. No privacy. Water taps broken. Toilets and showers broken and dirty. No security and felt unsafe. Stayed just for one hour and then moved to another site 20 minutes away. Town looks interesting - shame about the appalling campsite. Should not be in the ACSI book in our opinion.

Friendly reception. Pleasant (unheated) swimming pool.
Good location.
Extremely poor, outdated and dirty toilet block.
Pathways needing maintenance - weeds, rubbish and broken signs. Dirty plant containers with dead flowers.
Grass uncut. NO security lights around campsite at night.

Facilities on this site do require some maintenance. Toilet block is looking old and dated. Was being kept cleaner than at time of some earlier reports. Area surrounding the entrance and the roadway to most of the pitches requires some work. Small building opposite reception is scruffy and had rubbish piled up outside it.
Good for use as a site to visit some of the chateaux in the area.
Must have had problems with 'nomads' some time earlier, as were very fussy about letting utility type vehicles with large caravans into the site. We had to be vetted before entry.

A very pleasant site within walking distance of Montbazon. The sanitary block was not very clean. The washing machine overheated. I used it on a cold water setting but when I emptied the machine it was still hot and our clothes which had a 40degC maximum requirement were ruined. No one at reception was prepared to test the machine or even post a warning to other campers. They insisted there was not a problem.

A lovely location with large pitches convenient for the small town. A little 'tired' with electric bollards cracked and toilet block in need of care and attention but we recognise that this was the end of a long season.
Riverside location is delightful in a town which has a lively atmosphere - our time there coincided with a fabulous VW weekend.
Staff were really welcoming and attentive
