Found this site difficult to access as I had to book online even though I was outside the gate. The online facility didn’t seem to take the discount code which was a little annoying. Toilet facilities were tired but plenty of hot water for showers. Ok for an overnight stop but wouldn’t stay longer.

Reaction from the campsite 25 February 2020

Hello Janet,
Thank you for taking your time to leave us a message, it always helps us to improve ousrselves.
All the reservations have to be done on our webpage or on the ACSI page.
The campsite is open every days, all year long until 10pm.
The facilities are also opened with heater and hot water and very nice music for the ones who like singing in the shower.
We also sell pizzas and we are very happy to offer the WIFI access for free.
We hope that next time you expereience with us will be better.

Have just arrived at this site. There should be people at the reception until 7pm. There is no one on reception. To stay you have to book online. Using the Camping Card app or direct you get to the site website where you can only book at an undiscounted rate. If you are happy to pay this then come here, if not go elsewhere. One other point the site web site will not take a booking if you use Google Chrome. Overall I am a VERY unimpressed person tonight.

Thank you Barry for your message.
You are right that to have access to the ACSI discount, the reservations have to be done on internet on the ACSI webpage or app, to do so, you can also do it from outside of the gate of the campsite as we offer a free WIFI access.
Our campsite is open everyday, all year long until 10pm.

We arrived just before the end of September when the bar and reastaurant were supposed to be open. Guess what no bar, no reastaurant, no bread and a 20 minute walk to get some. Sanitary facilities were barely adequate and need a good deep clean and refurbishment. We will not be returning.

Stayed here for 2 nights in February, code at the gate to allow entry. No one on reception even though it was 4.30 pm. Pitched up where I wanted because no one here to tell me where to go. Toilets block ok but cold, toilet paper not replenished while I was there so only a couple were being used. No paper towels in the dispenser to dry hands. Didn’t use the showers prefer my own in the van.
Tap for drinking water few and far between. Grey waste and elson waste was at the far end of the site where the motor homes fill up. I read on an earlier review that the toilet block was cleaned 3 times a day, I never saw any staff so the invisible man must do it and he needs sacking because he can’t top up the loo rolls. Washing up facility’s are ok washing machine is in the same room. Would I stay here again

Stayed 4 nights, site shared with workers in chalets bused in late Sunday night (very noisy) workers get up for work early and arrived back 6/7pm by fleet of mini buses. Would not stay again. Site in tired condition.

On the cycle path along the Loire. Near a large supermarket. Quiet site apart from the road. Pitches in the shade or in the sports field. Helpful staff

We used this as an overnight stop. Friendly welcome, site is up to three star standard . Only downsides were the road noise from a busy road next to the site and it was difficult to dump grey water in our motorhome. An English couple in the pitch adjacent to ours had their bikes stolen in Tours.
The site security and some neighbourhood watch signs around the village suggested it was best to make sure all your valuables were secure!

Lovely site. Directions not helpful, several road signs missing. Great pitch but road noise is an issue. Sun gets very hot with little breeze so go for a pitch with a bit of shade. Cycle ‘Loire a Velo’ route a bit disappointing as not much was beside the river. Staff helpful and spoke good English.

Stayed here for two nights. close to a busy road but road noise not an issue as quiet at night. Lovely park about 15 minutes walk away on the banks of the Loire. Tours close. Basic facilities as expected at this time of year. Reception staff friendly and helpful.
