Very nice site in beautiful location on the Cher - we could see Chenonceau from our riverside pitch! Flat pitches, friendly staff/owners and a busy site popular with Brits. The only real downside was the small number of WCs in the furthest sanitaire which was a problem for both my wife and I on separate occasions (I just cycled down to the larger sanitaire!)
Great site by the river Cher. Large grassy pitches with or without shade. Two toilet blocks kept very clean. Chenonceaux within walking distance. Friendly staff.
Well kept site at the River Cher. Would have wished for a bit more shade as it was very hot. Restaurant/Bar on site. Haven\'t used the restaurant, bar ok. Friendly and helpful reception. Toilet and shower facilities were kept clean but could use an update.
The swimmingpool was a welcome for refreshment after a long day out. Even though the tile/slabs around the pool were burning our feet as were were asked not to use any shoes/flip flops etc.
Site very well situated in walking distance to Chateau Chenonceau. Chateau Clos de Lucé beautiful and very interesting with Leonardo da Vinci\'s inventions, Amboise can be walked to from Clos de Luce. Lots more chateaux can be visited from this site.
Would like to come back.
A warm & friendly greeting on booking in, good sized pitches that were well maintained. The toilets & showers were good (hot showers). The restaurant was good value. Close proximity to chateaux & wonderful cycling with detailed routes being available via Tourist Offices throughout the Loire. A good site & area that we will return to.
Level site with grass pitches...very long grass and lots of weeds when we were there. Reception was closed till 4 but was advised to drive on and find a pitch.
New showers since we were last here but the ladies was still cold...mens were little better. However there was hot water in the sinks.
Short walk along river to the Chateau Chenoceau
Great site, friendly helpful staff, clean and well kept sanitares. Bar and restaurant excellent. Nice cycling nearby and chateaux to visit.
\"Welcome to the best campite in France\" was the greeting from the very pleasant lady in reception. Well, having not been on every campsite in France cannot confirm, but can say this is a very good campsite. All facilities clean, pitches good and a lovely pool. Food really good value for money and included fish and chips. No surprise therefore that so popular with the Brits. Great area for visiting the nearby Chateau (be warned if visiting no picnic food allowed so was a problem for us on foot). All in all a first class site.
We visited this site intending to stay just two nights on our way back to the port. We were very impressed and stayed much longer. Good large pitch. Site very well maintained. Owners and staff very friendly and helpful.Restaurant appeared very basic but the food was excellent and reasonably priced.
Our third visit to this site and would recommend it either as a stop over or for a longer holiday. Get a riverside pitch if you can to catch the evening sun. Great for dog walking up and down the river and fishing when the river's high. A walk down to the Chateaux at Chenenceau is a must,
We change our minds at the last minute to this site and I am so glad we did. Although it is near a busy road and the first impression looking at the site looked a little tired once we went through the gate to reception everything from then on was perfect. The couple that run the site could not have been more helpful. We had a lovely stay and would recommend this site as first class.
