We arrived slightly later than we expected, just before 7pm. It’s in the grounds of a chateau, which is really beautiful. However, we were greeted by a rather irritable lady and then refused the ACSI card saying that it had stopped. We pointed out that on the acsi website it says up to 30/06 and we arrived on 29/06. So we’re not happy about that misrepresentation! We would have been more than happy to pay the going rate but it clearly states that acsi are up to 30/06! The pool was ok but so many things you are not allowed to do ! Prices here seemed pretty excessive also with a bottle of water at 4 euros ! Showers were ok. Would not stay here again

A small campsite with good size pitches, although some are away from electric points so long leads required. Toilet/ shower facilities are adequate with very hot water. No toilet paper supplied !! - ready for updating. Young couple who run the site speak very little English but were helpful. 10-15 minute walk into village and to Petite chateau. Swimming pool small but nice and clean and warm. Good for overnight stop

First of all I’ve had to think about this review as I’m afraid it’s not good. I will just write an honest account of our time. On arrival the restaurant attached to the site was extremely busy. My husband popped in to see someone as reception was closed. The young lady who came out was so unfriendly and surly, we would’ve left but put her attitude down to being very busy. Over the course of our stay the pool was covered up and closed, it was open from beginning of April apparently. When I went to reception to pay it was the same young lady, believe me her attitude to customers was awful. I later found out that her and her partner run the site and restaurant. We got the feeling the restaurant came first. We visited last year and it was a completely different experience, owners were lovely and site immaculate. I understand that they’ve only been in charge since April 1st and still learning the ropes so to speak. But in that time the site looks shabby, lots of weeds and grass over the stoned pitches, facilities block wasn’t very clean, but there were workman staying on site in caravans and tents so 3 showers isn’t really enough. The owners dog ran loose on site and was always coming onto pitches and being a nuisance. It really is a shame as it’s a lovely little site. I’m afraid we won’t visit again and I’m sure others may not either.

A quiet, flat, clean campsite in easy walking distance of the lovely town of Ferté-Vidame. Lots of campsites claim they have wifi, but on most campsites it only works a few metres away from reception. On this site it worked well enough to stream videos. Uploading photos was a doddle.

A very nice simple campsite, made very welcome by the owners. Good walks on site and around local village worthy of a look round as well. Excellent overnight stop. Will be returning

A super little French site owned and maintained by a hardworking couple who speak very little English. A small covered and warm pool and a small restaurant and bar so everything you need.
The pitches are large, gravelled and flat with good thick dividing hedges but you need a long power cable for some of them.
The town is just a 15min flat walk away and has bank, chemist, bars, restaurants butchers bakers and a mini mart.
Icing on the cake are the ruins of a palatial chateaux and gardens which have free open access to walk around and again next to the site.
On the downside the back of the site has what looks like run down lived in cabins and although the toilets are kept immaculately clean they are showing there age.
All in all we had a great time here, enjoyed the surroundings and would certainly come here again.

Nice simple campsite, with gravel pitches. It does look a bit dated, and there are a number of static caravans which appear to be rented by workmen. The owner was very friendly, and helpful. Local town has everything you need, and I think the prices in the town were some of the cheapest I have come across in France. Good area for cycling.

Lovely peaceful site, a good find!!! You do however need long
electric cable!! Madame very friendly and helpful, telling
us there was a firework display on the night we arrived. Only stayed for
1 night but will return again, lovely walks and cycle rides. What a gem!!!

We just had an overnight stay here, but it was a very peaceful setting in a small forested area. The lady on Reception was really helpful and the wifi good and free.
The toilets were actually outside, but were adequate and spotlessly clean. The showers and basins were in a heated room and were also spotless.
The gravel pitch we chose was large, but the water was too far away and we had to use 2 hosepipes, but this was the only drawback. None of the other facilities were open due to it being too early in the season, but we had this covered anyway.

Small friendly site. Pitches on gravel surrounded by trees. Sanitaires heated, clean and adequate. Pool and restaurant not open due to time of year but looked good. Would like to return in better weather. Free wifi very good
