It’s a bit cheeky to charge the ACSI rate and still charge on top of that for water. Yes it’s great for walking into Chartres but that is all it has to offer. won’t be back.

Lovely site, plenty of shade and spacious pitches. Fabulous staff - helped us out and phoned to book our van in for repairs when we had an electrical problem.

We stayed for one night en-route to Deauville. Very pleased with the campsite facilities, and no problem with access to the site. we didn’t book and there were plenty of spaces. The walk/cycle into Chartres is easy and definitely worth a visit. Where we were parked there were mature tree with low hanging large branches so you may need to watch height on some pitches.

Great campsite for visiting Chartres which easily accessible by a pleasant cycle ride (or walk) along the river into the centre. The staff were friendly and efficient, the sanitation block was clean and well maintained, and the pitches were generous. There is a nice litle shop at reception, and an evening woodfired pizza seller. And a good supermarket is 5 minutes drive away. There are sporting facilities incuding a devent petanque piste.

A lovely secure site within easy access of Chartres. Facilities are very good. We have solar and batteries so we were placed at the edge of the camping field which has no hook up but is less shaded by trees.

Beautiful location, easy accessible trail to Chartres for mobility scooters. Clean toilet and shower facilities.

On site now and very disappointed! I emailed the site in good time prior to arrival to reserve a pitch. On arrival we were allocated a pitch at the bottom of the site near the access gates to the riverside path. This area is in total shade not even enough light for the grass to grow, it's like being in a cave! Requested a move on two occasions but the reception staff aren't interested. No fresh water taps other than at the sanitairs and your charged to empty your grey waste! Leaving ASAP

A great location in Chartres with traffic-free access to the centre along the river. There is a spectacular sound and light show each evening, so definitely worth a stop over if you are in the area. Facilities all clean and practical. A choice of pitches depending on how much shade you want. There’s a good supermarket within 10 mins walk.

The site is walking/cycling distance into Chartres which is a beautiful city. We enjoyed the little train which runs nightly from the wonderful cathedral and visits the ‘lumieres’. Many of the pitches are in full shade with very little grass. We were able to move to a pitch with a little more sun as we were there for three nights and many people were only there for a night. Pizzas and bread available daily. Very good security. Some road noise but overall a positive stay.
