Very good campsite close to the village although I arrived late & didn’t manage to see it the showers & toilets are very clean very helpful owner he speaks good English there is a bar & small restaurant the site is very clean it is good for walking or cycling along the river
The site is about 10 mins off the motorway if I get the chance will come back again

Used as a stopover site. Facilities clean to French standards. Unfortunately not enough time to walk into Chalon sur Soane, but lovely walks along the river by the campsite.

We stayed for 48hrs. only. This is a long site between the river & a minor road. There were two blocks of toilet/shower facilities, clean well kept. One block, the main block was on a slight incline, which in my opinion may be difficult for some people to access easily. Although this site is advertising \'good views\' of the river, much of it is blocked by trees & shrubs, and opposite the camp is a large cement works!! Reception is on entry to the camp which is the place WI-FI can be accessed. Rubbish &recycling bins are outside the gates, a fair walk from several pitches, further down from the site. The campsite appeared to be run by a family who were all very friendly & helpful especially since our French was limited! This is undoubtedly a popular good \'over night\' camp stop which can be recommended & we\'d be happy to use it again if in the area.

Quite nice riverside location 30 mins walk from town. Some good cycle paths around too.

Very popular campsite for travellers either going south or returning to U.K. as it is just off the A6 motorway. We have stayed here on a number of occasions over the last 7 years and have always received a warm welcome. Usually stay for 3/4 days to unwind from journey from Spain. Market day just over the bridge on Sunday mornings with plenty of choice of restaurants available. Showers and toilets clean with plenty of hot water available.

Very friendly and helpful reception. Information given on town and cycle paths. Liked being able to choose own pitch. Some in hedged areas and some in open spaces. New sanitary facilities. Lovely walk in to town. Would use again.

Travelling party: Seniors

A very convenient site for visiting the town centre, about 15 minute walk. The staff are very helpful and the sanitaires are excellent. Be aware of road noise from the road behind the site, pitch nearest the river would help.

Travelling party: Seniors

Excellent campsite within 15 minutes walking of centre of Chalon-sur-Saone with plenty of facilities
Toilets were first class - voie verte was ~ 3 kilometres away but you could cycle along the river to town

The approach to the campsite is a little off putting but once you are in the campsite is it very pleasant. They are grass, unmarked pitches with a few trees. At the beginning of June it was quite quiet. The walk into town is pleasant along the river and we had a wonderful meal in a road lined with restaurants. The campsite staff were very friendly. The only down side (which has been mentioned in other reviews) is the facility for emptying the chemical toilet, which is near the entrance to the site. As a consequence people seem to be emptying their cassettes down the toilets and making a horrible mess whilst doing so. We didn\'t visit the bar or the snack bar. Would stay here again but probably only as a one night stop due solely to the toilet cassette emptying problem.

What a delightful site. Some road traffic noise but nothing too intrusive. Lovely walk in to the town, approx 15 mins, and if you haven’t loaded up in wine they sell a lovely white wine for five and a half euros already chilled. Toilets/shower modern and spotless. Bar open from the afternoon and a pleasant stop off for an ice cold beer and pizza
