Totally agree with other reviews, in as much that this is an ideal stop over on route to or from your holiday . We found the site overall very accommodating , and would use again. We are a couple, with Motorhome, so cannot comment on some sections of the review . Draw backs.....distance from end of site for toilet waste disposal....arriving late in day leaves you with having to squeeze in somewhere on grass area.

We stayed on our way back from the south of France don\'t let the entrance the the site put you off which is near a large bridge down a narrow road. Once you get on the site it is beautiful. The first section has small pitches framed by hedges but if you continue the second half it is a large open field with lovely flat well manicured grass and plenty of space. The toilets were clean and modern with hot showers that you can control. There is a lovely walk into the town along the riverbank and over an island which has a street full of restaurants from every corner of the globe and a couple of cocktail bars. If you walk across the second bridge into the town it has a beautiful Centre with old Tudor style buildings and lots of cafes and restaurants.

We ended up stopping two nights instead of one and would definitely stop again .

Lovely spot close to river and easy walk to town. Toilet/shower block extremely good. Nice hot shower with plenty of room in cubicles.

We stayed here as a stopover in June on route to South of France. The site is excellent as a stopover however lots to do and see in the area so a longer stay is possible. Walking distance of town centre with lots of history, places to eat and drink. A centre commercial with huge supermarket also a short walk along the river. A little gem of a site.

We stopped off here on our way down and on return from the med. The staff were extremely friendly. I can strongly recommend the pression at the bar, a really welcome refreshment at the end of a long drive. The modern sanitary facilities were spotless and plentiful. This site is very accessible to the autoroute, making it perfect for a stop off or a little longer as there\'s plenty to see around about.

We thought we\'d stay a night or two but like the site and the town so much we\'re staying an extra night (on our way to Calais for the train home). The facilities are excellent. We had a pizza from the van one evening at reception which was very good. The walk into town is easy and pleasant. We walked in on Sunday for the market which was lovely. The centre of the town is very pretty with loads of places to eat.

Lovely campsite by River. Some noise from road during day. Charon walkable and pretty Cathedral with square with good restaurants. Fresh bread and croissants from the reception. Good shower block and laundry facilities

Fab toilets and showers, very helpful at reception. Village not as good as it first seems: there are limited eating places unless you want a kebab.

Good clean site on the banks of the Saone. Friendly staff, good bar with wifi and limited meals available. Short walk into the typical French regional town. Great street food market on Sundays (and other days) and plenty of restaurants to choose from. Nice cycling along the Saone and (if you can find it) along the nearby canal and the Route Vert.
