A lovely charming quiet site for a stopover, good sized hedged emplacements, clean mixed showers and toilets with hot water, all usual facilities, friendly reception who will order baguettes for morning. Would return.
What a gem of a campsite. Very popular, so it was also really busy at certain times of the day. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great walking and cycling along canal just 10 minutes away. Plenty of restaurants on offer in the town from reasonable to really expensive menus available. We stayed for 3 weeks and did a lot of walking ,cycling, eating and drinking. We will return.
Another good stay at this pleasant site near the route south towards Lyon. Site doesn’t have electric points between all the pitches so it is necessary to have a long cable and take it across another pitch. Also a bit short on water points.
Friendly hosts and lovely little town with a few supermarkets to stock up on supplies!
Wonderful campsite. We just keep coming back! Cyrille and Nadia are the most wonderfully accommodating hosts. This is certainly one of the very best sites we’ve stayed on and we’ve been camping in France for almost forty years.
In our experience this is a very busy, urban campsite. It is next to a river, but not a nice river and there is limited access to it. It is also next to quite a busy road and close to several busy railway lines - though there appear not to be any trains passing between 11pm and 7am. During the day it is quite noisy.
The sanitary facilities are adequate and appeared clean. The receptionist was helpful and spoke good English. There is a pizza restaurant on site but it is only open in high summer.
Lovely stopover site. Pool few mins from site. town short bike ride away. pitches v good. loos etc great. lovely staff.
Owner very helpful and friendly. Ideal location we had a short walk into the village with a wonderful Sunday market.
On edge of pleasant small town. Nice well run site. Good cycling along local canal and Voie Verte. Only problem was noise from the town lorries and nearby rail line.
Good for short stop over and visiting Burgundy. Previously used Beaune as stopover for heading south, but this site is much roomier and more convenient.
Well defined grass pitches. If you arrive when reception is closed you are directed via a notice to choose your own pitch. We had lots of choice at 3pm, but by 4.30pm the site was filling up and the pitches farthest from reception have obviously not been used for a while and could have done with a trim. Also, these appeared to be the nearest to the railway line. We pitched on number 5 and could hardly hear the trains. The toilets and showers are unisex and were very clean. Plenty of hot water. No toilet seats or toilet paper. The town is a ten minute walk away with plenty of bars and restaurants. We ate at Le Grenier a sel which was reasonably priced and good food. The advert in the CC book says that the snack bar, takeaway meals, pizzeria and restaurant on site are open until 30/09, however they had closed 31/8.
Arrived after a large rain storm; pitch was very muddy (we except this no-ones fault) water and drainage fine no problems with electrics, found lots of work going on at the far end of site only pitches avaiable around top area near reception. The toilet facilities very clean&tidy but getting ready for up-grade. We stayed four nights and travelled around this area; lots to see - also Chagny was nice to look around.
