A campsite with spacious shaded pitches on the banks of the Loire opposite the town centre. The town is within walking distance and is suitable for cyclists, anglers and canoeists. A limited number of pitches with electricity are available.

    Useful site for stop overs close by to the historic part of town. Amazing Cathedral. Facilities clean and well-maintained. Nicely heated, except the washing-up area which can be freezing in the rain and cold..
    WIFI only at reception area. No privacy from neighbours.

    Travelling party: Seniors

    Location to small town excellent, a pleasant walk across the bridge. Site alongside River Loire. Find own pitch on arrival, top pitches have to walk round other units or use steps to get to toilet/shower facilities. Mix sex facilities with seats & paper, clean, hot showers & room warm. Wifi hotspot good, but slow, close to reception etc. Cannot comment on cafe/snacks as closed & didn’t see any sporting facilities

    Travelling party: Family with children, 12 - 18 years

    We stopped on this site for one night whilst travelling north. It is right on the banks of the river with good views of the city. The girl on reception spoke good English and made us welcome. We were able to order bread for the next morning and there is a small shop and snack bar in the reception area. Not all the pitches have electric so booking in advance would be a good idea, we booked by email the night before and got a prompt reply. The toilets and showers are satisfactory, clean and the water is very hot in the showers, it’s a bit of an unusual set up with them underneath reception. You cannot get access to the river for kayaking and swimming is not allowed. Access is easy and it is only a short distance from the Motorway. It is a 10 minute walk to the city. Would definitely us again if travelling this way.

    Excellent Stop Over site and also for longer stays. Walk across Bridge and you are into the lovely historic town of Nevers. Magny-Cours Race Circuit is also worth a visit only 8ks away

    Travelling party: Seniors

    Very busy site with high turnover so toilet facilities were a bit stretched and not very clean. An excellent position on the River Loire with views over the river to the town which was within easy walking distance. Pitches were mainly shaded but quite well worn. The peace and quiet of Saturday evening was disrupted by an extraordinarily loud concert in the town centre which went on until 2 in the morning!

    Very awkward to get into, we entered up the hill and had to then make an awkward turn and then had to block the entrance/exit as there is a barrier. The site itself is very nice and the view over the river to Nevers is beautiful.

    The toilets and showers are mixed, but clean and adequate.

    Travelling party: Seniors

    Bad entrance to site as you are blocking the road if somebody is booking in, in front of you, other traffic including a bus had mount t the pavement to get past, plus nobody can get in or out of site, whilst you arebooking in due to barrier/ narrow entrance. All pitches on lower are unmarked and have no view on river or Nevers as view is blocked by comtinuous high hedge. If you are on the lower levells its difficult to get a hook up point & you will need a long lead of at least 25 meters Toilets are typical french camp site mixed types. Staff were helpful but overwhelmed only one on duty trying to deal with a continuous queues of people.
    Unless you are able to get a pitch on the higher levells, its possibly ok for a very quick overnight stop but nothing else.

    it's a convenient stop over on your way to somewhere else, it's the only acsi site in Nevers, they need some competition to make them up their game

    Very friendly guy at reception. Lovely view over river. Site easy to get to Dog friendly. Good wifi at reception. Good overnight stop on way south.
