A good campsite with many facilities, 150 metres from a flat sandy beach. Many people passing by near the entrance, quieter at the rear. Located in an old dune area, so plenty of sand which means long tent pegs are required. Indoor pool. Premium pitch with private sanitary facilities at extra cost.

Travelling party: Couple

Excellent campsite location with beaches closeby and a fair walk to town. Pool fantastic. Good children’s play area. Toilet facilities tired and showers only stay on for a couple of seconds. Motorhome service point in middle of site and blocks access way to anyone coming and going. Better to be relocated. Happy to return but would like to see some investment.

Travelling party: Couple

Shared toilets, male and female which we are not keen on. Main block had no lighting one night of our stay but problem was fixed having mentioned this to reception. There was another block further down into the campsite that was working OK. It was weird that the toilet blocks had many washing cubicles and shower cubicles but not as many loos. Pitches were a bit scruffy and not sure much pitch maintenance was carried out but electric connection was close by and I did not need ramps as pitch was generally level. Pitches were well shaded by tall trees but this was very welcome as temperatures were in the mid 20s during our stay. You can walk into Quiberon in about 20 minutes along the beach road which was a very pleasant walk. Quiberon is a small town with quite a few quality shops and restaurants. We chose this site over the other two sites on the peninsula as it is the closest to the main town. You can book the ferry to Belle-Isle at reception at a slightly discounted rate which we did on one of days there. Ferry takes about 50 minutes each way though we found not a lot to do on the island so we caught an earlier ferry back, but the boat ride is fun. We also did the Circular route of Quiberon on our cycles which is signposted on quiet roads or track and took about 2 hours though we did stop for a dip in the sea at Plage du Drehen. One thing we did notice was that it was quite windy each day of our stay. I assume it’s because we are on a peninsula.
