Amazingly good value campsite. A wonderful welcome from Laurent and Miriam await you at this campsite. Quiet, peaceful and immensely friendly. We stayed for 4 nights with our caravan and three children. The weather wasn't great but there was plenty of things to do in the area, with advice from Miriam and Laurent. Took a spin on their forest adventure course, our 5 and 7 year olds loved it.
Clean bathrooms with toilet seats (cow, flowers, checkers......) hot showers, toilet paper and soap in the bathrooms.
A fantastic collection of vintage caravans available for rent along with three tree houses and a number of mobile homes.
Flat pitches, with water tap nearby and proper electric hook up.
Cycle route goes right by the campsite with pretty much flat cycling in both directions for kilometres.
Lovely bakery in town, 5 minutes walk, decent takeaway pizza Wednesday to Sunday at the top of the road and a well stocked local shop in the town also.
Small covered swimming pool with separate toddlers section, but plenty big enough to keep our kids happy for a rainy afternoon. Playground and trampoline also there to keep the kids entertained.
We will definitely be back.
Lovely little site by the Nantes Brest canal. Lots of quirky things on the site like vintage caravans and toilet seats shaped like a strawberry. The owners are lovely and do everything they can to help you enjoy your stay. Great area for cycling and walking, and nice places to visit.
Exceptionally friendly welcome to well cared for site adjacent to the river/canal. Excellent MHSP. Unisex facilities clean and only minor niggle is lack of pegs in shower cubicle. Plenty of adjustable hot water in shower. Ideal location for cycling along the Canal in easy reach of beautiful towns of Josselin & Malestroit. Boulangerie and mini supermarket close by. Quiet at night. One of the best sites that we have stayed on in France.
Lovely little site good pitches, owners are very friendly and knowledgable about the area. Lovely cycle routes and lots of very nice little villages within easy reach. Would definately return.
Charming is the only word to describe this site. Modern facility block with charming and quirky touches. There was a vintage car club staying in the vintage caravans when I arrived - it was difficult to resist taking photos. The pool and camp snack bar were open which is unusual for early season sites in this area. Lovely helpful owners who do their best to get by in Franglais. Excellent walking and cycling options so definitely much more than a stopover location.
Camping Domaine du Roc is a delightful campsite that we visited with our motorhome in June 2015 and we enjoyed it so much that we returned in July for the last few days of our trip to Brittany. The campsite is very pretty as it has been imaginatively planted with Hydrangeas which have beautiful dark blue and white flowers. It is and situated beside the Brest to Nantes canal and is ideal for short or long walks and cycle rides in very pretty countryside. The pitches are generous and offer both sun and shade. The shower sand toilets are immaculate. The owners are very welcoming and friendly and added much to the pleasure of our visit. One evening they organised a social evening with drinks and local musicians which was great fun. The campsite is located in the pretty village of Le Roc Saint Andre which has a small supermarket, a pharmacy, restaurant and pizza takeway. A retired horse and a donkey also live on the campsite adding to the charm of camping life.
My wife and I visited this site in June 2015. Owning a twin axle caravan I was a little concerned of access and pitch sizes ect. However following a quick visit without the caravan (as we were pitched only 20 miles south at the time,) we were met by the owners Miriam and her husband Laurent who were so friendly and helpful. Miriam guided us around the site allowing us to choose our intended pitch which was then reserved for our arrival some days later. The site is not large but clean and well maitained also as we like it quiet at nights. Laurent has a passion for vintage caravans and as such he has a small collection which are in beautiful contition and can be rented for a overnight stay for the person who fancies something a little different. The site sits on the south bank of the Nantes to Best canal which is excellent with dedicated cycling tracks that are wonderfully flat which is ideal for not so young amongst us. Typical pretty french villages are within several mile distance in either direction one particular in the direction of Josselin boasts a magnificent chateau which must be seen. However make a day of this trip as the bike ride along the canal takes a good hour and a half, that said the scenery is well worth the effort, passing many beautifully well maintained river locks boasting a grand show of colourful flowers and shrubs. A short car journey takes you to Rochefort en Terre what is alleged to be the priest village in France. Finally, the site even has its own resident horse and donkey who will be exceptionally friendly after supplying the odd apple or carrot, or two.
First visit here, but not the last. Pleasant site overlooking the canal, which you can see if you stretch your neck!!
Nice showers with plenty of hot water. Toilets with paper and proper novelty seats! The vintage caravans arrived whilst we were there and were very interesting.
Lovely area for visits including Josselin with its beautiful chateau. Certainly recommended.
This pleasant campsite is situated alongside a river/ canal. The site is very well maintained, and the charming and friendly owners work very hard to ensure their clients have all they need.
Stopped for 2 nights, real hidden gem, lovely site right on the canal so perfect for cycle rides and walks. Town just a couple of minutes with baker and small shop for essentials. Didn\'t use pool as off season but looked great also the bar and snack which would be lovely in the summer. Toilet and shower facilities were top class and spotless with plenty of hot water, the owners were a lovely couple, could easily stay longer next time.
