Stayed overnight at the site. friendly staff at the reception. In woodland up a hill. Toilets are spotless. As the site was dark at night it could do with a a bit more lighting, we lost our way back to the caravan from the reception. We would recommend this site

Don’t be misled into thinking this is a good site to visit Clermont Ferrand unless you don’t mind a very steep 1km walk back up the hill at the end of the day. Once at the bottom of the hill 2 busses are required to get into the city. Only one communal shower block is open at this time of year and half the showers and toilets are locked off. A lot of the chalets are let out to workers who do not respect other campers during the evening and early morning when they are leaving for work.

Travelling party: Seniors

Roads were narrow and windy when there. Placing the caravan was not easy due to crowded placements and the was some problems with the electric hookup. It was busy especially considering the time of year.

Travelling party: Couple

Great for a stop over but not good driving to it. It’s on top of a steep hill. Good site though with good restaurant. But only basic shop selling milk and water. You have to order bread for breakfast

Campsite had descent facilities, modern and clean. Nice pool. Very hilly area, so good walking shoes needed. We used the buses to get around, cheap and great when you finally understand the timetables and stops. A trip to the volcanoes on the mountain train is superb - especially in the fabulous weather we had. Stayed 3 pleasant nights.

Travelling party: Couple

Comfortable, quiet, well laid-out site. Staff friendly and helpful. Indoor reception area with free wifi and morning bread orders. Modern, heated, unisex sanitary facilities with loo seats and paper kept very clean. Huttopia certainly seem to have the right formula for modern campsites. Steep hilly, 20 minute walk into Royat.

Travelling party: Couple

Great facilities - clean & warm with v hot showers. Pitches are spacious but the site is very hilly. Friendly reception on arrival. We'd use again for 1 or 2 night's en-route North or South.

Travelling party: Couple

A beautiful site set in deciduous woodland. Very helpful reception with good information on arrival. Variety of pitches mainly part shaded.
Toilet blocks immaculate with hot water.
Superb setting in the hills above Clermont Ferrand. Nearby regular bus service to Royat and Clermont Ferrand.
Don't plan on cycling into Clermont Ferrand unless you are a hardcore cyclist or have an ebike.
easy drive to Puy du Dome with good campervan parking
