This is a good stopover on a main North / South route. A small campsite with a municipal feel but without any obvious residential pitches and just a few hundred metres from the A75 but very quiet and with easy entry and good flat pitches with hedges. The little town is a short walk over a footbridge on the river and has a small but well stocked grocery store and a couple of good bread and cake shops. Lots to look at and some good walks along the river if you need to stretch your legs after a days drive.
The owners are easy going and friendly and will help you if you can manage a bit of Franglais.
Don’t expect luxury, this is rural France. The sanitary block is ok and there is adequate hot water in well cleaned facilities.
We only gave it a 2 for things like children’s facilities and so on but to be fair we haven’t got children with us. They have a pen of rabbits for kids to feed and pet and there are chickens, goats and other small animals in pens on the site. There were a few kids on the site who seemed to find plenty to do.
The pool, bar, snack bar and crazy golf etc had closed when were there.
Not a holiday site but a super stopover. We’ll use it again. Well described by ACSI.
We used this as a one night stopover en route to the south. Very good & easy access from the motorway but no road noise & a very quiet peaceful site. On arrival we found the receptionist a little sharp as we asked ' Parlez vous Englaise' but were met with a sharp 'no'! However with our phrase book we made ourselves understood. One night was so good value for our needs. As it was early September there was lots of choice of pitches which were nice & roomy albeit a little 'lumpy' on rough grass. As it was a Sunday we decided not to walk into the small town but had a Croque Monsieur & Chips at the little snack bar & the chap serving was very friendly but no English spoken at all but the few glasses of wine & beers were most welcome as was the tasty food. The sanitaries looked a little tired & dark but no problem as they were clean & separate fior the boys & girls. We picked this site for ease of access from the motorway & it served the purpose well. Not sure if we would have wanted to stop longer as very quiet due to end of season feel.
Stop-over for 1 night. A footpath goes from the campsite over a bridge and leads into town. A nice and green site, well kept. We arrived a bit early and were told to just pick our pitch. As it was early in the season the pool was not open yet, but everything we could see was fine. Toilets and showers clean and adequate. Not very busy so it was nice and quiet.
There is a restaurant/bar but again, too early to try.
The town has a few very interesting features which are worse perusing, church and market hall.
We like to come here again.
An excellent stop off so conveniently close and easy access from the A75 however the road noise is minimal and I hardly noticed it.
Friendly reception and choice of pitches, most with some shade.
Toilet/laundry facilities well kept and clean and efficient washing machine.
Good value for money.
The 5 minute walk into the village is recommended with a small grocery, pharmacy, church, the pizzeria with a wood burning oven made us a superb pizza!
The good reviews of this site attracted us to use it as a stopover but we were really disappointed. The grass on the pitches hadn't been cut, the pool was empty of water, the toilets were dirty and poorly lit and the whole place looked like it wasn't meant to be open. No snack bar we were directed to the town a 5 minute walk away. Over priced compared to other ACSI sites but a good location for a stop over.
