Travelling party: Couple

Toilet facilities a little old but spotlessly clean. The managers of this site are very friendly, helpful and hard working. We came for 2 days but stayed for 10. Le Puy-En-Velay is in my opinion a must see destination with its historic buildings and light show.

Great situation for visiting the town friendly helpful staff and quiet at night. However the sanitaires are grubby and in need of some attention, cracked basins and loose tiles in the shower which varies between freezing to tepid but to be fair the women’s seemed to have hot water perhaps I was unlucky. It’s worth putting up with to be able to visit this amazing town but not for a long stay.

Lovely site just outside the town centre- only 15 minutes to anywhere in town. Chosen because it is the twin town of Tonbridge where we lived for 12 years.
Who knew?
A great history and a lovely town- you must go!
Campsite fairly compact and, we were advised, the toilet block at the end was “plus confort “

Really well positioned site for a volcanic Le Puy visit. Illuminated attractions of the monastery and cathedral at 21.30 every evening. The largest Saturday market we have ever seen. Loads to see in the area.
The site is easy walking distance to town.
Reception was open all day despite the sign saying the close for lunch?
The staff are fantastic and helpful.
The site is no nonsense ACCI rate regardless of your rig. I have a 7.3m motorhome and car trailer. The pitches vary but most are really generous. We parked with no issue. The toilets are old but well equipped and clean. Washing machines are reasonably priced.
If you really need satellite tv the pitches that can see between the trees are limited and almost impossible to identify with a compass. Do what we did and forget the Telly and enjoy your stay. (Ok so we had a stash of dvds for later). Bring your mosquito spray for later in the evening.
Be warned though. This site is popular and every night at about 18.00 it gets full (we were there September 13 to 15). Every morning half the campers are gone. You can book in advance but I had problems with the ACCI booking system.
Finally. There is a hospital next door receiving air ambulance helicopters at any time. Can be a bit noisy at 3am but we did not worry. They are gone in a few minutes

We had visited the Aire just up the road a couple of years ago, but it is now so expensive that 17€ a night including all the facilities seems too cheap. Under the gaze of the Church of St. Michael atop a large volcanic rock, it is set in semi woodland.

The staff are first rate and the whole ambiance is friendly. WiFi at the lounge next to the office and s tv and seats too. Many walks around and also a great, if tough uphill walk into the historic hilltop town. We loved it and will be back.

Wanted to visit the town, and boy what a town this is. The site was full by late afternoon, as it is relatively small. This is a good municipal style site, right on the doorstep for the religious things to see. We originally decided on one night but we WILL go back to this town, as we did not have the time to see all. Toilets pitches etc are all acceptable, and staff etc all all good

Very friendly and helpful. Plenty of shade. Pizzas were good! Near to town but quiet. Busy with very small pitches. Great wifi room (free but slow) with TV.

Very busy site. Nearby town really worth a visit. Facilities fine and pitches not huge, but flat and well maintained. Well worth a visit.

Perfect campsite for visiting this fascinating city. Mostly motorhomes and some tents: more than adequate facilities, all very clean. Friendly helpful reception. Plenty of shade on flat pitches. Set next to a park and voie verte for walking and cycling. Ideal for dog owners.12 mins walk to bottom of cathedral. (Beware, 60 steps to entrance, then another 74 to get inside). Fab son et lumière on 6 buildings all summer. We stayed 3 nights and regretted we did not stay longer. Lots to see, and for an easy evening, every night there is a different pizza van at the entrance. This campsite scores full marks for us.

This is a great camp site, the couple that run it, friendly and helpful.

Facilities clean, showers good, hot water.
Plenty of walking and cycling. Lots of things to see.
There is a church on top of a volcanic rock, from May there is a light show on it when it gets dark, this is amazing, really good, it is also on some other buildings which were stunning.
We plan to return for a long visit as this was just a stopover.
