The quiet campsite is on a slope above the village of Gannat and has spacious pitches. The campsite offers lovely views of the village and Allier valley and the 'Monts de la Madeleine'. The breakfast service and food truck that is at the campsite daily are very convenient.

Travelling party: Seniors

Arrived in early June only to be told that the ACSI price had ended in May and the full price was now payable, but as a favour there was no charge for our very small dog.

Toilet block is very old and the ladies side is closed off (presumably for lengthy work), leaving only a total of 3 toilets (one of which a ‘squat’) along with urinals, and a disabled washroom and toilet marked as reserved. On the plus side shower and washing up water was hot.

Pretty camping but given its hillside position there are some sloping pitches. Views are fantastic.

When we arrived on site near the end of May the welcome in reception was not a warm one.

The very poor explanation given for the higher rate was that we were now in a different charge period. Only a small difference however it's the principle that matters. Be aware.

It's a lovely campsite however because of some heavy rain the grass pitches were very soft and they cut up badly when manouvering the caravan and car.

We used the "food truck" in the evening to save us cooking in the caravan. Wish we hadn't bothered as we did not enjoy the different choices we ordered. The fries were well over cooked, dark brown in colour and soft floppy failures. The two meals we had were under cooked and all stuffed into a cardboard carton. Yuk.

Overall we would not return to this site.

Travelling party: Couple

stayed on route to Spain. lovely friendly site, warm welcome. great grounds kept clean and tidy.The women’s showers were being renovated so had to use the men’s so that’s the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars otherwise I would. 5 Star place keep up the good work
