This is a lovely campsite made special by its owners who work tirelessly to make everyone’s stay enjoyable. They were incredibly kind and helpful to us in sorting out a replacement caravan tyre after a puncture en-route and seemed happy to help all their visitors in any way they could. The pitches are generous and there is a superb swimming pool and also a bar/snack bar (open at the weekends in the low season) The bread was some of the nicest I’ve had. The toilet facilities were spotlessly clean. Next to the campsite is a cycle path along the River Allier into Vichy which is a very pleasant cycle or walk and you can hire bikes from the site if you don’t have your own. We would definitely visit again.
This is a lovely site on the outskirts of Vichy. The welcome was very warm, English Spoken, and very helpful. The pitches are level, well tended and have electric and water. The toilet and shower facilities are good but not really suitable for the early season. The shower room was cold and draughty and the water tepid but would be very nice in the warmer weather. A lovely level 30 minute riverside walk into Vichy, a lovely place to visit. Would use this site again but later in the season.
New manager, very friendly too giving advise about the town. Easy cycle ride to Vichy centre. Nice quiet pitches. Good walks around camp site. Good baguette!
Toilet facilities very clean, but I would think they may be stretched in high season. Lovely wardens - very keen to ensure that we were happy and enjoying ourselves. The pool had a cover and looked gorgeous, although we didn\'t use it. You can walk along the river into Vichy, which is a charming town of the Belle Epoch spa type. We liked that we didn\'t have the use the car while we were there. The site was the kind we like, relaxed and rural. Plenty of dog walking along paths surrounding the site. We would use this again if in the area.
Excellent site. All facilities good, clean and plenty of hot water. Pitches large and good access. Difficult to reach supermarkets without a car so stock up beforehand. Cycle path to Vichy after about a mile on fairly quiet local road then lovely ride along river through parks to city centre which is delightful. Elegant city worth exploring and great cycling along river. Campsite has new owners who are extremely keen to provide a great service and their enthusiasm is wonderful. Great swimming pool with sliding panels for all season use.. There are other campsites but this one will give you a great welcome
Lovely site, and excellent owners. Absolutely lovely start to our holiday. Stayed 2 nights. The town is a partially steep walk down through the woods but well worth it. Beautiful place. Great meal in the campsite restaurant and an excellent selection of wines. Would certainly stop again.
Lovely little campsite, staff are very friendly and helpfully. Quiet location just the odd train. Toilets are slightly dated but very clean. stayed here for 2 nights would happily return as we found area hiding some interesting suprises. Most pitches are in shade and of a good size, some do require a long electric lead. Good access for caravans and motorhomes. Very level site. Again staff are lovely !
Our first visit to this area and we were so impressed by this camping not only did we stay longer than intended, we returned for nearly a week on our way back north. The owners, Didier and Judith, are new for 2018 and are so friendly and helpful and work so hard to keep the camping looking great. The indoor pool is a delight and the pitches are generously sized.
A walk or cycle ride into Vichy through the parks is a delight. Vichy is a swish elegant town full of history and the huge shady parks are wonderful.
This is a 5 star campsite in everyway. Wonderfully helpful staff, beautiful and clean toilet block, excellent pitches and surroundings and a great heated pool. Good half hour walk to the city, but most of it is through the lovely park by the river. One reviewer said there was nothing in the city, but we found it really interesting and the spas fascinating. We went on the land train which had a English guide to what you were seeing. The city was wonderfully clean Both the campsite and the city we will return to, but just hope for better weather as it was overcast and drizzle all the time unfortunately. The drive to Vichy from Tournon-sur-Rhone was one of the loveliest we have been on, which says a lot for the many lovely journeys we have had on our many visits to France.
We stayed for two nights. Spacious pitches, good facilities. Free wifi. The covered pool is lovely and we were the only ones in it when we were there. The site is a fair way out of town but we went for a lovely river walk along the Allier. We did not find it easy to park in Vichy and nothing much to see. We did find a lovely restaurant near the bridge though. The site is very good value for money.
