This is our favourite campsite and we visit a few times each year. It\'s in an absolutely beautifiul part of South West France. We see mountains. Indigo blue sea, beautiful cliffs plus a fortress. The campsite itself is lovely with fairly private plots many with beautiful views. A short walk to the sea, beach, restaurants etc. A lovely walk into St Jean de Luz. It\'s quite quaint in style with Spanish style toilets etc, very clean. Owners/staff our very friendly and helpful.
Stayed in this campsite for one night as we were travelling back to our port. Lovely campsite, good large pitches and the lady on reception was very welcoming. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
I wouldn’t bother. We were going to stay for 3 nights as this one of the few campsites still offering ACSI rates at the beginning of July, but in the end we only stayed one night. Which meant you get the cheap seats i.e. pitches near the busy main road. Toilet facilities from a bad camping experience in the 1970s.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Showers dated but hot and can adjust the temperature which is a bonus. Easy walk into Socoa along a track from the bottom of the campsite. Cliff top walks but along a busy road. Can walk into St Jean de Luz, about 40 minutes.
The staff are friendly and one member speaks good English. Lovely walks from the site and Socoa is a lovely area to sit and have food, drink and walk.
We spent a Saturday night and did not sleep at all that night. There was loud music from town and moped/motorbike racing up and down the cliff roads. Then about four o'clock the shouting and screaming became more noticeable. We had planned to stay 5 nights but moved on the next day.
Would not stay again.
