Narrow paths, small sites and one rude cafe\\ barman... stayed for one night where constant rain turned parts of camp into a quagmire..... never intend to be back
Very disappointed with this site. Access extremely difficult as it is set on the side of a steep hill with narrow streets. Pitches are basic with no water or waste setup, must walk ling way for these facilities. All pitches are very uneven so caravans and campers all on big lean. Shower bad, push button and cant change temperature. Impossible to shower young children. Supermarket closes for five hours in middle of the day, and restaurant stops serving food between 2 - 6pm. Our children were not allowed in the pool with their swimming togs, had to purchase the tight fitting ones.
Overall it feels like they\'re happy to take your money without putting much thought into what its like to actually stay here.
This is a really nice site with a lot of good facilities, pools, shop, restaurant. The site is close to a good bus service to St Jean De Luz, worth at least one visit. A wide range of pitches on terraces, many with a glimpse of the sea.
We had to refer to the directions for another campsite on the same complex. The staff were very friendly. The pitches are a bit on the small side for a 4 berth van and estate car and it would be very difficult in the height of the season. The indoor pool is lovely and outdoor pool spectacular. The sanitary block is clean but in need of updating however the hot water for washing up is intermittent. The pitch is hilly in places and inconvenient for people with mobility issues.
Stayed just one night in early June- convenient stopover on way down to northern Spain. Tidy campsite, friendly staff and with good sized pitches. Parked right near exit thinking it would be an easy drive out in the morning - which it was but resulted in hardly any sleep at all as motorbikes raced up and down the whole night in the road directly outside!!
Stayed here in our campervan for 4 nights at the beginning of October. Large site but very well laid out with sun/shade/views of the Atlantic/not too many people passing the pitch and all facilities remained open. Lovely helpful staff in reception and throughout the site, good food in bar/restaurant and brilliant heated indoor pool and jacuzzi. Outdoor play areas and swimming complex which we didn’t use. Sanitary blocks, clean, warm and efficient. Not far from coast, a pretty bay but not for swimming but further into St Jean-de-Luz than we thought for walking. Could cycle but buses available on main road outside. Good value for money and a most enjoyable stay.
This is quite a busy site also very hilly, so may not suit those with walking difficulties, toilets/showers very clean, good shop on site, and two swimming pools, the bar/restaurant was nice but closed before advertised time, if you want to walk to the beach it\'s at the bottom of the site and quite a walk.
