A great value rustic site. Large pitches not in regimented rows. Plenty of shade if you want it. 2 shower blocks but one closed in September. Very clean. Hot water plentiful. Helpful, friendly staff with good English. Pool looked nice and still open in September. Bread available each morning to order but village with bakeries very near. Also 2 supermarkets. Short walk to the lake. Good location for a stop on a north south route but worth a few days.
Fantastic campsite and value for money. Staff super friendly from reception to ground staff. Facilities spotless and cleaned every day. Beautiful green surrounds and a short walk to lovely Village or lake. Only downside is no free WiFi other than limited and not far reaching at reception. Paid for one day and it was very fast. We were too early for outdoor pool and restaurant. We’ll definitely be back!
Good location short walk to the lake and to a pleasant town with plenty of shops and restaurants. Flat pitches in a woodland setting, sanitaires clean and functional indoor pool open out of season cafe/restaurant open looked ok but we didn't use it. For a quiet few days out of season perfect.
Flat, reasonably sized sandy-grass pitches with some shade but nothing in between each pitch. Sanitary facilities okay. Good location on the edge of town and close to large lake. Reasonable access from main north-south autoroute.
We stayed at this site for 10 days in July and on the whole we enjoyed our stay, however there a few short comings for this site that people need to be aware of, firstly in the high season the disco music from the bar and restaurant starts at 0830 every evening and goes on until 1200 which is plainly audible all over the site, I take it that out of season this is not the case. also in July your swim in the two very nice pools will also be interrupted by by more zumba music every hour or so - Ok if you like zumba otherwise an unwanted intrusion. secondly you may well find your pitch some distance from electricity and water supply I suggest you have at least a 30M power cable.
thirdly the two very nice pools are too small in the high season and quickly become very crowded.
This site is very much at its best in the low season and I recommend it on that basis unless you like crowds and noise i would give it a miss in July and August.
Intended as an overnight stop enroute to Portugal, but stayed for 2, we are novice camping-caristes and so impressed we chose it for our overnight return stopover. Sanitation facilities were very clean, the pitches a good size and the site is an easy walk or cycle to the lake, village and Supermarket. One hour free wifi in the bar area was a bonus. We will definitely use this site again
We stayed here in low season (end of April) very few campers on. Staff are great and the site is lovely and peaceful. Only short trip into the village and a lake around the corner. Lovely site.
Lovely peaceful campsite out of season. Rarely more than 5/6 pitches being used. Some pitches a bit rustic but of a good size. Water was a longish trek from some pitches. Some pitches needed a French 2 pin plug others ok. Showers very good. Toilets okay. Pools were very good (indoors and outdoors. Great lake and beach just down the road (water sports). Shops and supermarket 1 km away. Brilliant cycle routes (flat) to other towns and lakes (Biscarosse about 50 minutes slow pedal). We were going to stay for 1 night but ended up staying for 5. Restaurant available for snacks/meals/bread and drink. Friendly owners. Liked this site.
