Good overnight stopping point and also good for visiting Bordeaux vineyards. Efficient tidy site with pleasant staff.
We originally chose this site for its proximity to Bordeaux via the Roger Lapébie cycle path (23km) However, the newly refurbished outdoor pool was a welcome bonus. The sanitary facilities were new clean and modern. Pitches bordered by hedges provided ample privacy. I would not hesitate to recommend this site.
Restaurant and Bar close, nothing to do on site. Took the bus into Bordeaux. 08.24hrs or 12.54hrs. Miles from anywhere. Not what I case as a good site
Very disappointed. Last visited a couple of years ago and it was very pleasant. Don\'t know if the site has changed hands but had to wait outside way past the listed lunchtime before reception opened. Put on same gravel pitch as before which was fine. Heated toilet block was not heated. Last visit the wifi was free; not anymore. Doubt if we\'ll be back. Shame as it\'s handy for travelling to Spain.
Nice enough site if a bit crowded on the motorhome/caravan pitches. However the advertised bus service into Bordeaux is not really practical unless you are up for spending an entire long day in the city. Otherwise, without a car it\'s very isolated.
This is a friendly site well laid out and maintained. The owners, Pascal and Natalie live on site and also run the bar and cafe. We booked for two nights but stayed for six as we enjoyed the location so much. On three nights there were visiting chateaux with wine tastings. The town of Creon is close for food shopping and other supplies. There are plenty of vineyards to visit to sample the produce. We would have no hesitation in recommending this site to others and we will certainly return.
Stayed for one night as a stop over.Staff pretty miserable. Was put on an uneven gravel pitch to start with, asked to move onto a grass pitch which they let us,although no electric, said that it would be same price as with electric!Went to get takeaway food from restaurant but the women was so miserable we didn\'t bother.Pool looked ok but we didn\'t use,not as big as it looks in the picture.Toilets ok but were unisex which we don\'t like.Ok for a stopover but I would plan not to stop here again just based on the miserable staff....
A stop over campsite as there\'s not much to eep you here. The campsite owners appear new to the business. Reception is functional unless you stay more than a day. Pitches are spacious enough but only one toilet block so check your distance. Fairly ambivalent about this place but stayed two nights because of the convenience. Cycle roue to Bordeux fine until 5k from the centre then blocked by road diggers - great... bon courage!
Due to waterlogged pitches, we were put on the path. As the site was nearly empty this was not a problem. Lack of fresh water taps. Loos okay, mixed sex, showers hot and roomy. Reception opening times very lackadaisical, disregard the opening times on the door. Easy to get a bus into Bordeaux except weekends. Half hour walk to Creon on main road for supermarkets. Some road noise. Bar and swimming pool not open when we were there as too early in season.
Visited for a one-night stopover en route to Spain. The site is easy to find and easy to access. Facilities look good although most closed during our visit. Some have commented on the muddy condition of the pitches and we saw that many had water standing on them after a couple of days of rain. However, much evidence of remedial work and the hardstanding we were offered was dry and spacious. All in all, a good site for a stopover but I'd happily return for a longer visit. Recommended
