Lovely, rural site, if rather isolated. We visited very late in the season and the facilities were very limited. Washing up water wasn\'t very hot and the room was badly lit. I may have misunderstood, but I am pretty sure I was told to get drinking water from the source which had to be used to rinse the chemical toilet. I did manage to find a better source.
This site would have a lot going for it, if only some TLC had happened. The pitches are shaded. The facilities really could do with regular cleaning.
The information says that it is within walking distance of Guitres, well it is, if you like a hike.
All of this said, the site certainly does have some charm.
Very nice site with easy access, although acsi co-ordinates direct you to the old entrance - but it is sign posted. Lovely woodland setting next to lake with beach and gentle water sports. Very friendly and helpful owner. Good price - would recommend.
Stayed here in September when it rained most of the time. Love surroundings camping amongst the trees with lovely lake. Would definitely stay here again with hopefully better weather but great place to chill. Proper chips with homemade pizza a must.
A good site for chilling out large shaded pitches, good facilities lovely lake to walk round or sit by with a drink. Very helpful and friendly english speaking site owner good value countryside site
Peaceful, rustic site on the edge of a small lake which makes for a quiet evening stroll. The campsite owner speaks excellent English and is probably the most friendly, helpful and accommodating of all owners we've come across this year. There is obviously continuing renovations going on and would love to return in warmer weather when a swim in the lake would be enticing. Definitely recommend.
This is very much a work in progress site. Showers great as block obviously refurbished, but washing up facilities have yet to be done and the water was a bit tepid. Toilets clean enough. The staff are excellent even offered an adaptor for the electrics. This is very much a chill out site as no villages near. Would certainly return again if this way.
Excellent site though a bit rustic. Very friendly staff. Good stopover on the way south. Right next to the lake which had sunbeds.
Very welcoming owners. Refurbished showers excellent. Swim in adjacent lake lovely after a days drive. Fantastic value for money.
We stayed on this site for 8 nights and enjoyed every minuet. When we arrived at the entrance we thought, Oh No! But we were directed along the road by another camper to the new entrance, all very nice with security barriers, a reception office, kitchen and bar. The owners, Christine and Didie could not have been more welcoming. The pitch was an amazing size with views over the lake, stunning sunsets. The lake and beach were clean with plenty to do. New shower block excellent and the home made pizza excellent too. The owners were working all day on more improvements Looking forward to our next visit.
