Travelling party: Seniors

We found this site as a one night stopover, however after arrival and being greeted by the wonderful owners and seeing how beautiful the surroundings were, along with how very well laid out and maintained the site and pitches were, we stayed three, had we not been on route it would have been more. Each pitch is well laid out and although the entire site is on a slope the pitches are terraced level with CEE electric hook up and water within easy reach. Without exaggeration the toilet /shower block is the most generous and well equipped one we\'ve seen, they have even thoughtfully provided a family cubicle with four shower heads and plenty of space. They have a small bistro on site which we sample and found the food to be very good and reasonably priced. As previously mentioned the Dutch owners are very nice and helpful, there are also a couple of beautiful cats on site which was a bonus for us. The surrounding countryside is easily accessible with plentiful walks and a large natural lake close by with attended swimming area.

Brilliant site, although not easy to get to if coming from the south. Pitches are either sort of in the central area and more open, or scattered round the perimeter and really quite secluded with views over open fields. We had an outer pitch and it was like being on your own private site. The entry in the ACSI book does not do it justice in any way. Not much to do in the immediate area apart from walk, but really pleasant countryside and good recreational lake nearby. Great for a few days doing very little.
