An overnight stop only. Also found the use of ‘water rationing ‘ card strange. Wasn’t sure if they’d be enough allowance for 2 showers altho was told there was 8 mins + wash up water allowance! Took a while for hot water to come thru whilst washing dishes. Didn’t use shower (used van) as toilet block, which was clean, seats & paper outside of cubicle was cold. Open rafters to the roof. Time of visit coincided with some damp cool weather. So on a nice dry day toilet block would be ok. Didn’t see any sign of pool so no comment even of location. No sign also of cafe/take away etc, not mentioned on arrival. English spoken, thank you. Entrance to road leading up to camp very narrow so wide vehicle take care. Area around looked very nice if weather good.

Our pitch was so sloping I had to jack-up the caravan, otherwise quite good. The drawback on this site is the stupid "card rationing" of hot water - something we have never met before in 41 years of camping, I'm pleased to say!

Not over impressed with site in general maybe due to being towards end of season as half the toilet block barred off. Never been to a site obsessed with the sep card that you use for hot water in showers and sinks. Even then showers only just warm with a ration of 4 min per person per day! Can understand businesses being careful with costs but toilet paper was that thin you could see through it! On the positive side the site owners seemed very friendly.

The site looked rather unkept (weeds everyhere, hedges & shrubs needed trimming) & the pool, although large & attractive, had organic matter at the bottom & many flies on the surface. Weeds growing between the slabs surrounding the pool. However, the toilet block was clean & modern. Hot water is restricted by using an electronic metered card.

Reaction from the campsite 27 February 2016

Thanks for your comment. Great that you liked our plumbing. We had a lot of trouble getting past the pool to get clear by the great heat of the past year, often 42 degrees or more. Sorry for that.
