This is an amazing site I booked for 2 weeks and stayed 6 weeks the owners and staff are very special people who are very friendly to everyone and can’t do enough to make your stay more enjoyable the facilities are spotless and clean and the site looks amazing due to a lot of hard work by the owners Russ and Lorna, I hope to be back again in September, I made some very special friends on my stay there who not only welcomed me in to their hearts but also their homes. Thank you

Our second visit. Weather was awful a big storm that caused damage throughout the area. Despite there being no electricty for an hour or so one evening Russ & Lorna were incredibly resourceful and carried on regardless! Wonderful hosts. We’ll be back!

Bit late with my review but a fantastic stay in 2018, very friendly English owners with a great restaurant in which we ate most evenings during our 7 night visit, the cheesecake is to die for. We had a caravan charge unit fail whilst on site which is why we had an unintended long stay as we were returning to Calais, but the owners lent me a portable charger to keep the leisure battery going until Red Pennant couriered me a new charge unit. Shade or sunny pitch options, plenty of space but EHU may mean an extension lead. Grass cut regularly with good dog walk and quiet roads for cycling, also by car there are many places of interest within a reasonable radius of the site.

Fabulous!! We were here last June and absolutely loved it here, We couldn\'t wait to come back this year, and having returned are coming back in September!! The family is lovely and you\'re made to feel so welcome, The ambience is great as is the food. See you soon love Margaret & Terry

It may not be on your route, BUT it is worth the detour. A secluded, quiet site with very hospitable (English) owners. All this is nothing compared with the food in the restaurant- totally unexpected in early June and quite stunning. We will return !!!!

It’s so good I almost want to keep this a secret! A fantastic welcome from the owners Lorna and Russ. The restaurant had a lovely ambience and the food was good. A good selection of plots to choose from, full sun, shade or partial. We will be going back!

Camping Maisonneuve Acsi 1802 at St Jory-de-Chalais 21st to 22nd April 2017
We had to leave this site quickly after only one night for two reasons
1. There were processionary caterpillars on the site. These can be fatal for dogs.
2. The showers were unusable because they were scalding hot.
The whole camping side of the site seems to be a bit scruffy and uncared for which is a real shame because the setting is to die for.
I was informed by a German camper and an English caravanner that the showers had been reported as unusable to the owners 3 days previously.

A very good site in marvellous surroundings. The English owners are obliging, and making a good job of the site. More electricity points are to be installed this winter, I understand. I needed a 30 m cable this time. Very good food.

Site is run by an English couple. Very friendly and obliging. Good food at reasonable prices. Small fishing lake (free) good dog walking, small pleasant village in walking distance with patisserie and one or two small shops.

We had a fantastic holiday at Maisonneuve earlier this year with Russ, Lorna and the children. They all made us very welcome and would thoroughly recommend this campsite. Excellent facilities and restaurant top-class. Well done team!!! Best wishes, Lynne Richard and Cassie
