A really plesant site. Very helpful staff. Nice swimming pools. Good location
Stayed here for 6 nights, facilities very good. Lovely swimming pool for both adults and children. The majority of pitches are well shaded which is ideal when it is warm but not so good when it is raining. Pitches under the trees which are the majority suffer from sap dropping from the trees that covers the car and caravan roof. Again the pitches are mostly grass that do tend to get a little muddy when wet. Adequate water taps and ehu points are spread around the site and should be near the pitch, although there are no drains for grey water. An adequate number of showers are provided that have both temperature and flow adjustment.
The reception, shop, bar, snack bar and take away are housed in one building adjacent the entrance. Free use of bats for table tennis and other games are provided in the shop. WiFi at reception for free. Bread and essential supplies available from the shop, if they run out of bread there is always the bread machine in Limeuil.
Within walking distance of Limeuil but apart from being a beautiful spot there is very little there. A stoney \"beach\" edges the Dordogne accessible from the site for canoe launching and dog paddling, river is very fast flowing, beware!
All in all a lovely site in a beautiful area but with the few already mentioned drawbacks of shade, possible muddy pitches and sap.
Supermarket and nearest town about 4 miles.
We stayed 2 nights in our Motorhome in June. Friendly, efficient reception. We were left to choose our own pitch from the available free pitches. Pitch was grassy and very good size. Toilet facilities adequate and clean. Only 2 showers in the block near us so these were often busy. Plentiful hot water for shower and washing up. Friendly and well used bar and snack bar. Food of reasonable quality. Lovely long pebble beach with access to the Dordogne. Swimming pool clean and well maintained but possibly on the small size. Easy walk into Limeuil with small shops and a number of restaurants. Two of these were closed on Wednesday evening and the third was \"finished\" at 8pm. Site promotes recycling and we were given a bag for recyclable rubbish at the beginning of our stay.
Great location over looking the gorgeous village of Limeuil. Situated on the River with access for swimming. Large pitches and a great pool. Strongly recommend.
What a great campsite on the banks of the Dordogne river. Unfortunately on our visit the river was high so no beach. The site itself is well maintained and the showers/toilets old but very clean. Good, well stocked shop & nice reception area and a lovely pool. Pitches were very large surrounded by shrubs & trees. Plenty of supermarkets and shops in Domme a few minutes drive from the site
Fabulous site. Can't fault anything. It's neat and tidy with lovely big pitches, very quiet, nice bar and delicious food. Nicest pool area we've ever seen with toddlers pool and jacuzzi. The staff are really pleasant and helpful. Small shop and fresh baguettes all day. Lovely little private shingle beach on the river Dordogne, it's heaven. Small village 5 mins away on hill so may be difficult for some. Would definitely recommend this site.
Beautiful surroundings, peaceful and well maintained site. View across river to Lemeuil. All facilities well maintained and could not ask for better. We intended to stay for 2 nights but ended up staying for 4 as it was so nice.
Excellent site in Beautiful surroundings set on the river bank where the Dordogne and the vezere meet , you can swim , canoe here ,the pitches are of good size , red hot constant showers not your push button here.
Very pretty swimming pool with a kiddy pool attached .
A short walk over the two bridges brings you to the very picturesque village of limeuil which has bars / restaurant and Entertainment in high season , plenty of shops in Bugue about 5 miles away ie , Intermarche , lidl , Aldi , bread shops and petrol .
This is the best camp site we have ever stopped on in 10 yrs of coming to France and we return every year
A truly outstanding campsite. I have spent two months touring France in my motor home and this is by far and away the best site I have found. Well stocked shop, great showers, good value and varied food in the snack bar. Cannot recommend highly enough.
There is no doubt this is one of the best campsites we have ever visited. The site is conveniently situated between Bergerac and Sarlat and is beautifully quiet in June and early July. We went for a week and stayed two.
The site is beautifully laid out and kept immaculate. The staff from the owners to the gardeners and cleaners are both friendly and helpful. The swimming pool area is beautiful and well laid out.
The Wi-Fi is still free by the bar, but we bought a 24-hour card which lasted us the two weeks with some hours left to spare as the system does log you off as soon as your device goes to sleep, in case you forget.
The showers and toilets were very clean with plenty of hot water and campsite shop had a good selection of basic items and fresh fruit and veg.
You can canoe from the site if arranged with reception. The village of Limeuil is a short walk across the river and is a lovely place for a coffee or a meal.
