Good location with a nice easy walk into Le Bugue which is a lovely little town with regular markets. Good location to explore the Dordogne. Lots of nice towns within 40 minutes drive & close to cycle paths. Good basic site for the money.
This a fairly small site. It is very pleasant, clean, staff are friendly and it is reasonably priced. Minor issues were that there is no toilet paper provided in the loos. There are few showers so there is often a wait at busy times. They are a little bit tired and could do with a revamp. However, minor points and overall we enjoyed our stay here.
The highlight of the week however was the moules et frites night. We were entertained by one of the campsite family owners which was fun and enjoyable and the food was brilliant - all you can eat - and I ate a lot. There were other similar nights and we were sorry to miss them. The guy who runs them is very entertaining.
I would stop here again, but bring extra toilet rolls.
Family run campsite and are very friendly, Food is very good and they have themed nights, english is spoken by staff and were very helpfull when I had a breakdown on the motor home.
You can walk or cycle along river to local town Le Bugue, every tuesday it has a weekly market and 4 supermarkets and various bread shops.
Pitches on site are large and some have water on or near by.Toilet facilites were good and were v clean
We only stayed on this site as long as we did because of its walking distance to a small town with good facilities and it is also a good base for touring Dordogne and Vezere valleys. Unfortunately the shower block wasn't that clean and literacies other reviewers we found the showers on a few occasions were cold water only. Toilets were not cleaned at all. One was leaking badly for 3 days before a member of staff noticed and closed it. Grounds not well lit and not patrolled. Loud music until 4 am one night. Would not stay again.
The campsite is in a good position. It is a nice walk to Le Bugue, which is a pretty town with a good market. Good cycling, but you have to find your own routes. Unfortunately the first night we stayed there, there was loud music played until 3am in the morning. Also half the toilet facilities (the nearest to us) were closed and one day there were only cold showers.
A large pleasant site with good sized level pitches. The toilet facilities needed upgrading but were adequate. No toilet paper. Food and drink were available but we didn't use the facility. It is a very pleasant 15 minute walk into the town along the riverside. The town has good bars and restaurants and there was an excellent annual village fete come agricultural show while we were there in mid October. Three supermarkets were within a half mile of the site. We will use this site again.
