Travelling party: Seniors

Used this site as a one night stop-over en route north. Nice site with good pitches but pretty much closed in late September - no facilities or even bread and pastries available. Very good shower block though.

Travelling party: Seniors

Really nice site, within walking distance of beautiful town with lots of restaurant choices. Warm welcome. English spoken. Spacious pitches, but quite wet/scruffy due to weather. Trees need thinning, as beginning to be intrusive. Some road noise. Toilet block being renovated, so showers limited for use. A lovely site worth a visit.

Travelling party: Couple

Very warm welcome. English spoken. Pitches a little scruffy due to bad weather. Trees need thinning to allow more light and space. Toilet block being renovated, so mostly closed. Walking distance from a beautiful town, with a good choice of restaurants. Nice area for sightseeing. Have stayed before, and would stay again.

Travelling party: Couple

Good sized pitches, quite dry. Site very busy. Brantome village well worth a visit and only a short walk from the site.

Travelling party: Couple

Very nice site, good pitches, a little muddy whilst we were there but owner pulled people out who got stuck. Good facilities, very clean, lots of hot water. Great staff, very nice bar/restaurant area, good homemade pizzas. Short walk into a lovely town, the best French town we have visited so far. Good selection of shops. Really enjoyed the great canoeing on the river. Free WiFi on campsite not much good, didn’t try paid WiFi. We would definitely return to this site.

Travelling party: Seniors

Good site for visiting Brantome, which is within walking distance. Limited grocery shopping opportunities. Only one toilet block open, which was stretched over busy first weekend in May. Could do with some sound proofing around pool. Good sized pitches with some shade and others sunny.

Arrived for an overnight in torrential rain & we're now on our fourth night here. Great welcome from David. Spacious pitches with shade. Site right on La Dronne river & short walk to Brantome, a beautiful little town. Loads of piping hot water in the showers, but they are open to the elements which may get chilly early/late season. Would really recommend this site, particularly low season. We'll come back!

Ideal location for a visit into town. Good clean toilet facilities. Quiet site with good sized pitches. We would revisit if in the area.

We arrived in the middle of a monsoon but the pitch wasn't at all boggy and dried up within minutes. Some pitches near the river might be troublesome on this score however and quite a few are under heavily shading trees.

Travelling party: Couple

Seems better than 3 star site. Our pitch was level and with shortest grass seen this holiday. Easy walk into town, avoiding main road. Large pool with new, quality sun beds and parasols. Man-made beach beside river. Staff helpful. Some toilets and showers with indoor access, other via external doors. All clean and well-equipped. Bar area not open at this time of year Would definitely stay again.
