Travelling party: Couple

A decent enough site, nice showers and toilets, water and waste nowhere near some of the pitches, so make sure you have some containers of some sort if staying for more than a day or two.
No proper moho service point either.

A lovely site right on the riverbank. Geese and swans could be your neighbours. Toilet facilities OK but remember your paper, showers reached by steps but heated and hot water, washing up facilities very good. Check reception opening hours as the lunch break is quite lengthy and there\'s not much room to queue up to enter the site if they are closed. A leisurely stroll across the bridge takes you into the main town.

We had a lovely stay here on camping Pelouse, by the Dordogne river. The staff were friendly and the facilities were very clean.Close to Bergerac village.

A 3 Star rating by ACSI is generous but an insult to other camping sites with the same rating. All your ratings to date have been accurate this deserves no better than 1 Star, filthy and overrun by itinerant workers and a manager that clearly has not control we felt most vulnerable and insecure. We are now at another camp site in the vicinity and this sentiment is held by others here who too had the misfortune of visiting La Pelouse

Judy Nelson, on this campsite in September 2014

Not a campsite for a long stay. The geese and the goose poo really put us off. Toilets and showers were basic but It was in a perfect situation for exploring Bergerac, as the cycle and walking paths lead straight from the site to the town which is beautiful. The river setting is pretty. However would not go back if we could find an alternative.

John T Pharro, on this campsite in September 2013

Travelling party: Seniors

Really good campsite to visit Bergerac with an easy walk along the river bank over the bridge into the town. Pitches, however very muddy due to heavy rain and loads of goose poo on them. Price you pay when next to a river. Personally, unless you wanted to visit Bergerac, which is well worth a visit, not a campsite for a long stay.

Mrs Frances Bishop, on this campsite in June 2013

Travelling party: Seniors

Arrived in wet weather, so very muddy but was found a reasonable pitch. Was a woodland site even though it was just a short walk from Bergerac.
Good base for touring. In hot weather the shade might have been great but with grey sky it's a little dark . Would use again.
