Lovely site, plenty of pitches of varying sizes with and without shade with free WiFi on site and supermarkets a very short distance away
Spent one night here on our return journey. The site is in a lovely position next to the amazing fortifications. The toilet and shower facilities were very dated but were kept clean. We were advised to use the facilities next to reception as these were heated. We ordered bread from reception. The site was attractively set out with flowers, shrubs and trees. They have created some interesting accommodation to rent which look like canvas structures. I thought they added to the character of the area. The chap on reception was very helpful but didn\'t appear to be very fluent in English.
Municipal site with direct access to the citadel via a small path. Facilities simple but clean and adequate, especially those directly behind the reception, which were heated. Very helpful and friendly reception staff. No pitches, so free siting wherever possible. Some of the ground was rather uneven. Town within the citadel is dead on Sunday or Monday, so come on a weekday! Interesting history and trail through the town and and walls. Very quiet compared to the campsites and towns on the other side of Colmar. Colmar itself easily accessible from here, with good parking for motorhomes virtually in the centre of town (Rue Wilhelm).
A lovely peaceful campsite. Just outside the walled old town of Neuf Brisach. Fantastic cycle paths from the site, with easy access to Germany.
Very helpful staff.
Bread delivered to the campsite daily.
I would stay here again
We stayed at this site for 11 nights nice area Neuf-Brisach within walking distance nice cycling/walking area toilets / showers old but kept clean Internet not very reliable quite during day and night would revisit
So pleased to have found Camping Vauban; natural surroundings with good sized private pitches. Unesco site just a few mins walk away ...worth looking on the internet. The village Nuef Brisach offers excellent cafes, restaurants and shops in a quiet but historical setting. Showers/toilets clean and adequate. Good for a relaxing stop over between Luxembourg and the south or when visiting the Alsace region. Will come here again.
We came across this lovely campsite by chance but will definitely stay here again next year. A 2 night stop was not long enough to explore the area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There are no marked pitches but everywhere is close to an electric point and wi-fi is available all over the site.
A little gem of a site that is well worth visiting.
Stayed for 1 night on our way to Italy enjoyed so much stayed for a week on our return journey.
Will be going back again in 2015 for longer stay great area to tour both France/Germany/Switzerland.
We stayed at this site for three nights at the beginning of July. We will stay longer next year. The prices are very reasonable and the pitches are spacious and have an electricity supply. The site was very quiet and is right next to the fortifications of the interesting village Neuf-Brisach.
The site owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Hot drinks, beer, bread/rolls and ice creams can be bought at reception and the village is 10 minutes walk away and it has a Carrefour supermarket and lots of restaurants. There are 3 toilet and shower blocks all clean and a washing machine. There is a nice play area for children, a pétanque pitch and two table tennis tables. There is a free marquee tent where those with small tents can shelter and eat. You can rent a tepee, static wooden and canvas tents, little cabins and a sauna cabin.
The only gripe I had was that the individual toilets are unisex.
This area of France and Germany is wonderful for hiking, cycling and wine-tasting.
