Site on the outskirts of Obernai with immediate access to several walking routes off site. Need to pre-book at least one day in advance. Facilities on site were good, and heated in October. Pitches for motorhomes were on hard standing, away from the main area of the campsite, which was further divided into caravans and tents. Bit unusual, and the motorhome area looked a bit more like an aire de service than a campsite. But pitches were very large and easily accessible with water, electrics and drainage for each. Town is well worth a visit with lots of history. The campsite gives direct access to a footpath through the rear, which leads, when turning right, along the front of the swimmingpool to a nice park which in turn leads into town (via Rue d\'Angle), a much more pleasant walk than along the road. Along the back are further walks along the small river Ehn through woodland and into the countryside. Excellent site if you are a dog owner. We stayed three nights and would definitely come back again.
We really enjoyed our two nights here. The site was quiet with shaded pitches. Selected a pitch on arrival and then booked in. Pitches an adequate size with some shade. Sanitation block clean, good showers and plenty of hot water. Site quiet when we visited, early July. Bread from reception was disappointing, though croissants were fine. There is a very limited selection available at reception: milk, orange juice, soft drinks, wine. A visit to Obernai is definitely worthwhile. It is 20 minutes on foot. Shopping for food is 35 minutes on foot. Better to drive. There is a good local bus into the centre of Obernai which leaves from just outside the site, costs less than one euro. Does not go as far as the supermarket, but does stop at the train station. We took a train to Strasbourg for the day, 40 minutes single off-peak with the benefit of an over-60\\\\\\\'s discount. Overall, good site and good location.
Efficient reception. Having a tent we offered only the sites not suitable for caravans, under trees with no sun or sloping. Disappointing as we were paying the same as the caravanners. An easy walk to the lovely town (city?) of Obernai. Toilets were clean and plenty of them..There is a small area designated to 'help yourself' to herbs.
Nice site with hard standing area for motorhome. Plenty of space but prefer individual pitch rather than like being in a car park. Walking distance or cycle ride to beautiful town. Good market on the Thursday. Obernai has tourist train to take you round the town sights and nearby vineyard. Worth going on this. Would stay again.
Friendly, secure site well located near Obernai a pleasant town with lively Thursday market. Bus/Train to Strasbourg - plenty of other sights nearby too.
We used this site as a stopover before heading back through Germany. Used the nearby Lidl to stock up with cheap booze. The pitch we were allocated (disappointingly at this time of year there was no choice offered - make sure you see it first as you experience may be better away from the extensive play area) was quite small and the site itself seemed busy, with more children than we had seen for 6 weeks!) Facilities clean and well managed. We visited Strasbourg by train for a pleasant day out and Obernai is within walking distance and has plenty of good restaurants although some drinks prices were high..
