Travelling party: Seniors
We decided to pay a little extra so that we could have a pitch next to the sea and we think it was worth it. The shower and toilet block is of excellent quality though when the site is busy you may have to queue? We prefer our showers in the evening so there wasn\'t a problem. The site is also located in an interesting location for those who enjoy a romantic tale; it\'s where Elvira Madigan came from and where she and her lover died. Their graves are in a local churchyard.

Nice site, but very busy on an early June sunny weekend!
Reception closed from 12:00 to 15:00 but a list of available pitches was posted in the window. However, the list didn’t mention that some pitches are ‘premium’ because of having a view over the water, so the ACSI price became about more it would have been good to know this before pitching.
Showers are untimed but limited in number: two for women, two for men, so timing is everything! Sanitary facilities are very clean and modern. Good kitchen facilities; pay for washing machines at reception.
Overall a good overnight stop, but more expensive than anticipated.

Travelling party: Couple
Coming out of season the campsite was virtually empty outside the weekend. The toilet and amenities block was first rate. Up to date and spotlessly clean. Showers are included in the price with no time limit. The views across the Sound were stunning and it was easy to just sit and take in the view but there was way too much to do in the surrounding area to justify such insolence. Good walking and cycling routes from the site and the local town (Svendborg) had plenty to see.
Maria (the owner) was pleasant and helpful. I'd recommend this without hesitation ( we ended up staying twice as long as intended).
