There are no words for how well run this campsite is, it is singularly the best campsite I have ever been to in my 30 odd years of camping. Lovely staff the owners are brill, they try to make it like a home. There are dual kitchens with everything in it, you need to make a meal. The restaurant was fab but oddly only open six to half past seven. Toilets were also filled with stuff you might forget like cotton buds, disposable razors and shaving cream. I\'ve marked the pool down because it\'s just for kids but it was still good.
Visit this campsite and tell me if you\'ve seen any better, please I\'ll go there too.
quite simply the BEST campsite in Acsi we have ever stayed on!!! The family welcomed us and nothing was too much trouble for them. Eva explained the train system with such precision it made using it very simple to get to centre of Prague within 30 minutes for just 130 kr return for 2 adults. She even lent us 200 kr to use train to get to bank and change currency in Prague as we travelled with only euros. The restaurant is amazing both in quality of food but also in price. Beautiful home czek cooking by the mother of the family. I would reccommend this site to everyone and cannot wait to return.
This was an excellent site. Staff very friendly and helpful. Easy reach of Prague either by train or bicycle (our option) took about an hour but all flat and almost completely on cycle routes. Excellent facilities. Would definitely recommend. Extra facilities for campers, indoor cooking facilities etc. Do not be put off by the last few km when you get to the site it is lovely.
One of the best sites we have been on. Lovely location next to the river (some noise from the main road opposite and railway behind, but seeing the trains passing was a novelty). 1km walk on a level road to the station. Excellent price, good food in the restaurant at amazing prices, fresh bread in the morning, extremely helpful and friendly staff who speak good English. Plenty of info available re places to visit, train times etc. The toilets and showers were immaculate with the nice touch of toiletries, tissues, etc available. The only improvement I can think of would be in the privacy of the showers, because once you step out of the cubicle there is no segregation between the drying/changing areas, and only a thin curtain screening you from outside view if someone opens the building door. But overall, excellent.
Very homely campsite run by a family as if they\'d like to camp here by themselves. The owners and their family are very friendly and go out of their way to assist.
Nice touches include a spice garden for fresh herbs for your cooking and toiletries such as ear buds and shaving cream provided free of charge in the bathroom.
We were made very welcome when we arrived and given all information required for our stay. We were loaned the cash to get a train into Prague as we had no Kc.when we arrived. The facilities were spotless and every possible occasion had bee catered for. After our visit to Prague Eva enquired as to whether her instructions / information had been enough for us to have enjoyed our day. Staff seem to go out of their way to help clients whatever the problem. We like that the site is not covered in notices giving instructions on what to do and not to do. The only real rule is quiet after 10pm and that was certainly observed by all.
This was a very good location for Prague. It was in a beautiful quiet rural setting with direct access to the river for kayaking. The owners were very helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much. We recommend it very highly.
Matyas was one of the best camping sites we have ever been to. The family run sites friendliness and helpfulness was the best we had ever experienced, they were very welcoming, nothing was to much trouble and they explained how to get into Prague very well so we had no issues, they even let us have Czech money to get a train ticket until we could exchange. Facilities were excellent and very very clean and small touches like hand cream etc in the WC\'s made the difference. We had a wonderful 5 days at this lovely site beside the river.
Great campsite in a good area run by fantastic staff. Really loved our time here and it is well placed for visits to Prague. The site even refunds your train ticket!
Very friendly helpful staff who spoke good English.
Nice position on banks of river.
Easy walk to train station with direct train into Prague. Normally about 30 minutes but when we were there diversions made the journey much longer.
Toilets/showers very clean and free but odd arrangement in the showers since although there were individual shower cubicles the changing area was communal. Also when the shower ran out of time you had to wait about 3 minutes before it would restart.
Restaurant was closed in September but bar was available and supplied morning bread and milk
Very pleasant and convenient and quiet site for visiting Prague.
