A very friendly camp site, in great surroundings, very clean showers and toilets. Food at the restaurant is good quality and value for money. The entrance is a bit narrow and steep but should not be a problem. It is a good place to stay for a visit to Zagreb or the lakes at Plitvice. I have put a short video on You Tube "Camp Slapic Duga Resa".
Lovely site, plenty of room mix of marked and unmarked pitches. Close to the river and very pretty. Quite , distant, local train noise but nothing to worry about.
Staff very helpful and spoke English. Facilities all very clean and looked almost new. Ate at the restaurant for dinner, very busy and service good. Food was lovely and good value.
Ideal for stop over or for longer stay.
Overall a very good campsite, well laid out and reasonably sized pitches. Staff were excellent and spoke good English. My wife said the chap on reception was very pleasant and helpful. Facilities were spotlessly clean and very well maintained. We visited the Plitvice lakes from here but it was quite a journey.
This was supposed to be a fantastic campsite, according to the reviews. It was fine. Nothing special. Pleasant spot next to a river, not crowded or noisy. It felt too far to visit Zagreb so nothing in the area worth shouting about. I think we were spoilt by the non acsi campsite at Rovinj that we'd stayed at the night before.
This site seems to be mostly used as a stopover, which is a pity because it should be used for a few days at least. It is located about 30 mins. north of the main motorway that runs to the south of Croatia (Split and so on). It is also a handy place to stay if visiting the Plitvice Water Falls just over 1 hour away. The site staff and owners are very friendly and can offer help on places to visit. Some of the pitches can become waterlogged and for that reason I have marked the pitches down, but I understand this is being addressed and this shouldn't be an issue from 2015. The food in the restaurant is very good and prices are low (about £7.50 for a main course and a pint of beer or glass of wine £1.35). Breakfast £3.30. There is also a bar/restaurant adjoining the campsite - same prices. The toilets are as good as any in Europe and in keeping with the rest of the campsite spotlessly clean. If we are in the area again I would pick this campsite above any others.
Great Campsite by a river, good value, toilet facilities new and very clean. Water pressure in shower was not particularly good but ok and Water was not very warm on occasions. If you like to cycle there are several routes from the campsite. They are marked in places, but we found it better to use a GPS route on my Garmin800. Often at a turn there were several tracks and so the garmin made it easy to choose the right one. The routes we cycled had large sections which were unmade so were only suitable for a mountain bike. Would love to return here. Also a good stop over on the way to Ljubljana. Recommended
We intended using this site as a stop off on the way south, but ended up staying 5 days, and on the way back. The site is so picturesque on the river side, and useful for visiting Plitvice and Zagreb. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful, the food very good and immaculate facilities.
Location: About 3 miles South of Duga Resa on the banks of a lovely river. From the motorway be sure to take Exit 3. Your sat nav may recommend taking Exit 4. DO NOT follow this as you will end up on the equivalent of cart tracks. Exit 3 through Karlovach and Duga Resa is straight forward and the site is well signposted.
The site is quite large but when we were there at the beginning of April 2015 only a few pitches near the bar were open. These were perfectly fine, on grass and with a 16 amp power supply. Water taps seemed to be quite sparse within the main camping areas so you may have a walk on your hands. Even in early April the bar was open serving food and drinks. Whilst we were there it got quite busy at the weekend when locals use it as a meeting point. This wasn’t a problem but you might like to know. Reception has various tourist information leaflets including a small booklet with local hiking trails. The staff are all very friendly and speak excellent English.
The facilities have been recently refitted and cleaned to a very high standard. Regular trains stop in the village and will take you directly to Zagreb or you can take the car which is about a 1 hour drive. Very nice, well managed and maintained site in a beautiful riverside location.
There is a small village shop a 5 min walk away selling daily essentials including bread.
The toilet facilities are very clean and modern. Showers are good but water takes a time to warm up. Reception staff are very friendly and helpful. Gave us a book and map on Zagreb plus a train timetable when they realised we were going to Zagreb by train. Train station very near site. You buy ticket on the train. Site has a nice restaurant which seems very popular. The ice creams are excellent. There is a small children's playground. The site is next to a river which seems safe to swim in. There is also a sun bathing area. Wifi is very hit and miss. I would recommend this site to anyone.
