Travelling party: Couple

The gentleman in reception was friendly and welcoming. The toilet, shower and washing-up facilities were modern but not well cleaned or maintained - they were not cleaned or re-stocked for the two days we were here. The pitches were good and there was both water and electricity on each pitch. There is a restaurant / bar on site which appears to be well used by the locals / site residents - but this was open, busy and noisy until late. It was a shame that the campsite was not supervised after the reception shut as it felt more like a stellplatz and less like a campsite after that - it was a bit too rowdy. The free access to the swimming pool nearby was welcome in the heat - & the campsite reception sells the swimming caps. This could be such a nice site with a bit more cleaning and supervision.

Travelling party: Couple

Nice clean and pleasant site with hedged pitches.
Toilet blocks have key code doors, clean and well maintained.
Very short walk into town with good range of amenities and bars / cafes.

ALDI on the way into town, walkable from the site.

Good cycle ways route marked. Would come back again.

Travelling party: Couple

a very nice site convenient to small town, excellent toilet \\ shower facilities. A very nice place to use as stop over site as we did on way to Calais. Supermarket easily accessible within 1 km.

Travelling party: Seniors

Well kept site with good pitches. Restaurant wasn\'t very good with expensive lack lustre food

Travelling party: Couple

Good site with large pitches each with water shared with a neighbour. Bit noisy with people from static caravans at the back of the site. Town nearby with bars and restaurants within easy walking distance up a hill. Not much to do in the town but plenty in surrounding area.

Jen Boulton, on this campsite in September 2017

Travelling party: Couple

Very pleasantly situated and well kept site. Good facilities and nice stroll into a small town. Reception pleasant, but had to go back in to ask for site information etc, but no major problem when I asked. Key pad entry to facilities and lots of security systems on site. Interesting and pleasant drive to the town (Autumnal colours through the woods were breathtaking). We will return, as a nice stopover.

Travelling party: Couple

One night stay in September using a tent for a stop over. Good flat grassy site well maintained and with clean facilities. Be warned that reception closes at 5pm but intercom access is possible after that. However need barrier pass to enter site and shower block key code which other campers had to provide. Additionally reception closes at 12 to 2pm which means you need to leave promptly before 12 to pass through barrier or (again) rely on other campers to allow you to exit. Those points beside, a good campsite 10 minute walk to a charming town with usual eating and drinking facilities.

Travelling party: Couple

Level grass pitches with plenty of space for campervan. Toilet block modern and clean. Very unhelpful staff on reception at check in; no information given and nothing in the office to help tourists. Close to town with both Aldi and Lidl within walking distance. On site cafe and shop were closed when we visited but there were ample available in the small town. Used as a stopover and didn't find enough of interest to encourage us to stay any longer.

Travelling party: Seniors

Motorhomes have a separate flat area at the bottom of the site which is itself quite sloping. The MH pitches are hardstanding and grass. There is electricity, water and waste water drainage on each pitch. Excellent overnight stop. Town close by.

Travelling party: Couple

Camped end of April and there was only one other camper. Lovely facilities and helpful reception staff, although closed after 5pm there was an out of hours intercom and someone came to help. Nice open, flat grassy pitches, with hedging between. Many statics further up on site away from touring area. Good, clean, modern washblocks. Very pleasant walk into town which is nice and quite upmarket with quality restaurants and hotels. There is a walk / cycle path by library which was very pleasant to stroll along. On the outskirts of town Lidl and Aldi for shopping and also an Esso petrol station. We arrived from the direction of Namur, the road to town goes downhill and then the turning for the site is on the left BEFORE the bridge crossing the river. There's a whole board to signs so easy to miss - if you do there's a roundabout ahead about four miles away!
