Travelling party: Couple

I make a point of ignoring single negative reviews but it certainly cost me on this occasion. We were traveling back through Northern Europe from Croatia booking sites as we went. I booked this site for 3 nights Sept 26th til Sept 29th. We had a long drive and arrived at the site about 3:30 pm. There was no one in reception and no one around. The sign on the reception door said if it\'s closed we\'ll be in the bar. So we went to the Bar and although the doors were open it was deserted. I should add that it was pouring with rain but that\'s no one\'s fault. We went back to reception and rang the telephone number on the door. Firstly there was no country code so we had to look it up and when we did get the right number it went to voicemail. We went and sat in the van! Ten minutes later a bloke turned up on a tractor and I had to go and track him down in his shed. Nice bloke named Patrick, not a word of English and clearly the groundsman.I explained our dilemma and he said he\'d call \'patron\'. Of course he had same issue we had contacting owner/manager etc. He eventually got through to a woman who asked to speak to me. The conversation was simply have you booked, have you had invoice by email and have you paid and do you know how much you have to pay. I confirmed yes to the above and she said can you get Patrick to get card reader, key in the amount and when payment confirmed you can then go and pick a pitch. I should add Patrick although a lovely chap did not have a single word of English and I had no chance of explaining what his instructions were. We gave our thanks and simply left. Rude, unprofessional, incompetent are words that come to mind. She\'s in the wrong job! Do Not go to this disaster of a site and ACSI Dump Them they are a liability.
