An excellent busy site. A mix of those staying and one night stopover. The 18€ went to 23.5€ after tax etc added on. We had paid 1€ extra for a better pitch which is worth while. A range of pitch sizes and location is available for more Euro,s. Toilet block facilities to be seen to be believed. In the men's there were rooms which contained a urinal, toilet, washbasin, soap container and hand drier.
16 amp electricity which was not metered.
Situated in the hills above Innsbruck, Natterer See is set up for both winter camping in the snow and summer fun in the sunshine. Situated on its own lake, with stunning Alpine views in every direction. Getting here is somewhat of a challenge, but don’t be put off. Free bus service into Innsbruck. Good value on ACSI, small upgrade fee payable to park anywhere but the smallest pitches. Friendly staff and amazing brand new shower block, complete with thunder and lightening in the children’s showers. Good on site shop with very expensive morning rolls. We stayed in March and left just 24 hours before a huge snowstorm – phew! From the photos, looks like lots of fun in the summer.
The first thing to say about this site is that it's more like a boutique hotel than a campsite. The toilets and showers are out of this world and the site is in one of the best locations you could wish for...mountains, clean air, a beautiful lake. What more could you asks for ? We were there for 4 days and probably could have stayed 4 weeks ! Oh and the staff are terrific....
State of the art site with excellent facilities which the price reflects, Costs depends on choice of pitch. We opted for fully serviced one and there was plenty of room. No pool but one can swim in the lake. Shop expensive and not very well stocked but restaurant reasonable with good food. Free shuttle bus service in to Innsbruck, all very convenient and a short walk to the town centre. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Innsbruck delightful. Good wifi.
A very nice site. But not easy to get to. The approach road is a busy single lane. If you meet anything coming the other way, you'll not pass each other. Beware following your sat nav. Ours took us to a road thats no longer used. The lady whose driveway we almost ended up in was most helpful and quite philosophical. Worth paying the extra to get a larger pitch. Excellent showers.
Our 2nd visit and we will return, the sit is the best ever, pot washing, toilet and showers excellent. Washing we didnt use but they look good. Lots of great walks around and not too hard. Friendly and polite place, walk to netter boden restaurant for a fab meal at lunch time. Free bus to Innsbruck which is worth a visit but it is a good walk to the centre.
Fabulous staff, reception ladies plus maintenance boys are friendly and helpful. Views amazing, showers the best eve! Brilliant free bus service. Innsbruck old town is wonderful. Use the camp restaurant, you won't be disappointed. Don't forget to look out for the carp in the lake, and we had a turtle come up every night for a cheeky bit of bread too! Just a joy.
I cannot find fault with this lovely site. The views are wonderful, we paid a little extra for a comfort pitch. This had its own water and waste point. The free bus into Innsbruck is a bonus. We were here in May, so the escorted walks had not started.
Would defiantly visit again.
This is probably the best campsite I have stayed on in terms of facilities. Put simply it is outstanding. The staff are 'ultra' helpful; nothing is too much trouble. The shower and toilet facilities are simply the best I have ever seen. Travel to Innsbruck is simple.
One bit of advice: I arrived in the dark. The GPS indicated a first left turn at the roundabout above Innsbruck. Error. Go all the way round and follow 'Natters'. The Camping sign is not easy to see in the dark. Obvious really but after a nine hour trip from Rome...
I'll definitely be back.
One of the best sites we have been. Staff were very helpful and all spoke good English. The restaurant food was very good and well priced. We have a 8mtr long rig and with an extra charge we were given a lovely large pitch with hard standing. Best toilet block ever. The only down side was with our sat nav, (designed for large vehicles) took us though a village not suitable for us, towing a car. After a couple of days and exploring the area found a more suitable route back to motorway. Innsbruck well worth visiting. Will be going back.
