Excellent site. Near to lake, cycle paths, bus stops etc. San Facs were excellent. Female staff were very helpful The only male member of staff was very \"grumpy\"
Pitches were spacious and well cared for.

No problems with access from St Gilgen. Check in was simple and the receptionist spoke good English.
We we\'re able to walk round and select a pitch. There are only about 5 pitches with a lake view and they are charged extra. There are pitches on both sides of the road with most on the lake side part. There are also a lot of seasonal pitches which seem to be well kept.
At the beginning of May a new toilet block is under construction but the main facilities across the road are fairly new, excellent and heated. They are also very high tech. You use your access card to get in and also to get 6 minutes of hot water in the shower.
All pitches have power, water and drainage. Our paperwork suggested that electricity was metered. Upon checking we were told this only applies during the high season. The pitches are level and a mix of grass with a sprinkling of gravel so we did not got bogged down despite heavy rain.
In addition to the lake we are surrounded by mountains. It is a two mile walk to the pedestrian ferry in Abersee which takes you across to St Wolfgang. There is a Billa and Hoffer supermarket in StGilgen.
Wifi is free and the signal and speed were good enough to be able to stream TV.
Nice site with good facilities. Limited lake views.

Travelling party: Seniors

The site is split into 2 sections one with access to the lake ,the other across a small road. The side of the lake tends to be busy and pitches are close together. We chose a comfort pitch across the road. Mains water and waste connections we both available. The site was quite The toilet facilities are new and modern There is a key pad to operate the main door. The showers take some getting used to. There is an electrical box in the shower cubicle that once took money. You do not need coins but you have to press the red button before you get any hot water there is bread available in reception. The site states that it accepts credit card but there is a minimum spend then 3% is added to the cost The staff at the site are very helpful and we would definitely stay there again.

We stayed for two nights in June, a wonderful site right next to the lake with glorious views in all directions. About a mile walk or by bike brings you to the ferry across to St Wolfgang, well worth the walk though. We went up the cog railway from St Wolfgang, Brilliant! A must do, it may seem a bit expensive but the trip is fantastic and the views at the top amazing.

Travelling party: Couple

This was the best site we have ever stayed on. The toilet facitlities were outstanding, the views great, the pitch more than adequate, free good quality wifi. There was so much to see and do in the area we stayed for nearly 2 weeks. The family who run the site were superb. We would thoroughly recommend this site.
