Site accepted an unsecured ACSI Booking. Staff friendly and helpful. Good sized pitches with lake views. Good access to the lake for swimming. Well stocked shop and good, reasonably priced restaurant. We used site for a two night stop over but would love to return and have longer to explore the region further.
Super site. Overlooking Lake. Easy run in from A2. Lots to do in the area. If you have time use for a couple of days or longer when you are using the A2.Ski lift running close by 8km. Alpenstrassen worth for a day out. Really friendly site and very clean. Lake lovely to swing in if warm enough. Has 2 private beaches on the lake. Beautiful scenery. Will come again.
Sanitary facilities were very good cleaned regularly, plenty of hot water, good showers. Dog owners are blocked into one area close to reception on this site, you are not allowed to go anywhere on site with your dog only the white peg area. You are charged for your dog yet there is not even a dog bin on site. The rest of the site is tiered with good views of the lake from nearly all levels - why one of these levels cannot be made available for dog owners seems a little unfair when you are charged more if you have a dog. Access to the pitches in the dog area is very tight - hedges line the access roads between the pitch areas when driving in a straight line the wing mirrors on my fiat Ducato cab were being knocked in by the hedges. The electric box next to my pitch had 12 x 6 amp outlets - not one of these would hold in when connected to my van. I used another box 30 meters away which was ok - clearly some power boxes are worn out. The reception staff were probably the most unhelpful of any of the 23 European sites we have been on this year, no info about the site was offered during check in - just go and select a pitch then come back. We had to give a deposit for a barrier key in case we wanted to go in/out - the barrier was then left open all day every day during our stay.
The dog area is also next to log cabins which were rented by Harley Davidson motorbike riders while we were there - the constant revving of these machines drove us crazy - however not the fault of the site. The dog owner area is also close to the main road so traffic noise very loud and consistent. We had planned to stay for 7 to 10 days but after 4 we had enough. When checking out I thought the bill was little excessive but many people were waiting and the bill was in German so I paid without querying. On checking I ended up paying the reception staff did not give me the ACSI rate for pitch etc. A great site if you don't have a dog, always check your bill before paying, we will not be back to this site which spoilt our stay in a stunning area
