This site is in a beautiful location and the views are stunning. The site itself however is tired with several derelict and unused looking caravans with awnings. The grass is uncut and the site we were offered was dirty and muddy. In contrast the toilets and showers are immaculately clean and well maintained. To be honest the site needs a proper groundsperson/gardener and it would be great. The bin area was pretty gross and there are huge powerlines overhead but they did not bother us. Mountains dwellers need electricity. I guess you pay your money and make your choice at the end of the day.

We stayed one night here in our way to Italy and were disappointed. Tried to get in restaurant but was told it was fully booked, this appeared not to be the case with only a couple of tables taken. The site was scruffy and in need of some attention and there was also a constant hum from electricity pylon cables passing overhead. As an overnight stop with the tax added it was an expensive option. We wouldn’t stay here again.

Tight pitch for our 8m van but it worked! Lady on reception not overly welcoming- claimed she didn’t speak English but pretty sure she did! I persevered in German!! Lovely walks from camp into Ehrwald. Cycled to Mittersee for a swim and also took cable car in Ehrwald for another swim in Almsee. Washing machine topay - dryer free which was not surprising as it didn’t work! However got everything dried in glorious sunshine! Stayed 3 nights. High voltage cables overhead but didn’t bother us. Restaurant excellent but need to book as popular with locals.
