Most suitable as a starting point for various walks and excursions. Plenty of information about the region available at the reception. Excellent restaurant, appetizing menus of the day. Wij, bijna senioren, brachten twee weken door op camping La Viorna in juli/augustus 2009. Een mooie camping waar de vriendelijke medewerkers veel zorg besteden aan de gasten, het sanitair en de netheid van de camping. La Viorna ligt in de prachtige Picos de Europa. Het vlakbij gelegen Fuente De is een El Dorado voor wandelaars. Beslist een aanrader.

Eerste rij plaatsen direkt achter zwembad zeer goed,volgende hogere terrassen hebben kleinere plaatsen,toiletten prima en schoon,personeel vriendelijk,omgeving mooi,vooral geschikt voor Fuente De,Cares kloof vrij ver weg,dit jaar zeker niet via Cain bezoeken,weg dicht of 1,5 u lopen.

Prachtige camping met (bij helder weer) zicht op de Picos. De camping is zeer schoon. De plaatsen zijn wat aan de krappe kant, maar de camping compenseert dat door zijn netheid. Een zeer vriendelijke eigenaar en lekker kokende en altijd poetsende vrouw maken het verblijf op deze camping tot een waar genoegen. Wij komen zeker terug.

De camping ligt schitterend midden in de Picos. Heel vriendelijke mensen. De eigenaresse brengt je zelf naar de (ruime) plaats. Het sanitair is super! Uitstekende camping om uitstapjes te maken in de omgeving. Het plaatsje Potes is leuk en gezellig.

In de maand augustus van 2009 hebben wij 12 nachten op deze camping gestaan. In deze drukke periode is het niet vanzelf sprekend dat je zonder reserveren een goed plekje vindt. Wij waren voor 15:00 uur op de camping en konden nog maar één geschikt plekje vinden. Mensen die later komen, kunnen vaak nog ergens een klein plaatsje krijgen, waarna ze de volgende ochtend opzoek kunnen naar een betere plek (iedere dag vertrekken er wel mensen).

De pluspunten: Ondanks dat de camping erg vol was, zag het sanitair er netjes en vooral ook schoon uit. Dit geld overigens voor heel de camping. Het personeel is vriendelijk. Na 24:00uur moet het stil zijn op de camping. Hierop wordt ook gecontroleerd. Er is een wasmachine en een wasdroger aanwezig. Er is mij zelfs verteld dat er een strijkbout aanwezig was. Heb deze echter zelf niet gezien.

De minpunten: De plaatsen zijn aan de kleine kant. De ruimte om af te wassen is niet handig ingedeeld, waardoor je je schone vaat niet goed kwijt kan.

Eindconclusie: We hebben hier met plezier gestaan (ondanks drie dagen wat minder weer).
Vooral de omgeving is erg mooi om te wandelen.
