Tijdens ons verblijf werd er nog druk gewerkt aan de nieuwe algemene voorzieningen. Het restaurant net open en het prachtige nieuwe zwembad nog net niet. Aparte wifiruimte met een redelijk snelle verbinding.
We hadden een prachtige plaats aan het einde van een laantje met pijnbomen in allerlei wilde vormen. Wel wat passen en meten dus voor alles staat.
Sanitair wordt keurig schoon gehouden. Een prima uitvalsbasis voor een bezoek aan Belem, Lissabon en Sintra.
De zee, met een behoorlijk golfslag toen wij er waren, is goed aan te lopen. Met de auto ben je er in 'no time'.

Nette camping met redelijke plaatsen onder de bomen. Sanitair is netjes verzorgd en wordt twee maal per dag gepoetst. (geen wc brillen) Het strand ligt op een kilometertje of twee afstand, maar wel met een stevige helling. Het strand is prachtig, maar we werden op de camping al gewaarschuwd niet met de kinderen de zee in te gaan, vanwege de sterke stroming. In het nabijgelegen Cascais is een stadsstrand met prima zwemgelegenheid. Het restaurant is onmogelijk slecht, Frieten worden lang van te voren gebakken en bewaard in een grote ketel. Het menu bestond uit frieten met rijst en (koude) kip. Campingwinkeltje was redelijk, maar wel zeer prijzig. 2.5 km verder ligt wel een bekende supermarkt.Een aanrader is het om met een taxi na het station van Cascais te gaan en van daaruit met een trein langs de kust naar Lissabon. Prijs van de camping is zeer redelijk.

We waren in het voorseizoen op deze camping en vonden hem erg mooi liggen bij de zee. Ook kan je er prachtige uitstapjes maken in de omgeving en Lissabon.

Deze Valverde camping in Portugal steekt deze met kop en schouder boven alle andere uit van deze organisatie. Een aanrader om Lissabon per trein te bezoeken.

Honden lopen los, vluchtdeuren waren op slot
Sanitair voor prima,achter matig,mieren. Parkeren cascais moeilijk en betalen
Lissabon goed per auto,parkeren Belem,verder tram
